I've been told I'm kind, thoughtful, attentive, and passionate. I believe I’m dependable, honest, trustworthy, supportive, strong (both physically and emotionally); confident but not egotistical. Can be goofy, slightly unpredictable, and down right off the wall. Childlike; but, never childish. Housebroken and well trained; yes, that means doing the dishes, bathrooms (they aren’t going to clean themselves) and giving long foot massages.
Have been divorced for almost 5 years after 24 years of marriage (yes, to the same woman); my choice to file, a bit of a story. We’re on good terms and she is living in another state. I live with my 23 year old daughter (she just married a good young man and is about to launch) and my 26 year old son; well, now that I think about it, they live with me. We wave in the hallway when we see each other (kidding…somewhat). They both work, are finishing college, have friends, girlfriend; so, only see them as they come and go. The way it’s supposed to be if the job is well done, right?. We’re happy, and have a peaceful home.
My eldest son is 28 and an AF medic. He and my daughter-in-law are stationed in Alaska. Have one grandson and one granddaughter. Typing of kids, "Does not want children" doesn't mean I don't want children in my life; just means I can't help make kids anymore.
I’m rediscovering myself; keeping the best and letting the unimportant go. Life has fallen into place after a somewhat rough decade – enjoying the second chapter of my life. All healed up.
my job: Patent engineer/ certified paralegal. Electronics background starting with 8 yrs in the AF. Last 14 yrs with a German medical video company. One global VP calls me a "special case" - again, I think it's a compliment. I work from home some days; could do my job from anywhere - and try to. Commute to Goleta most workdays. Getting to the point in my career where I can live pretty much where I like; so, relocating isn't out of the question...maybe...in time.
Besides love, kindness, and understanding, I think the most important aspects of an intimate relationship are communication and trust - trust and communication. Also, keeping things fresh while enjoying continuous depth and growth (a bit of a tall order, but so very much worth it). The physical should be an expression of the emotional and spiritual, and the emotional and spiritual re-enforced by the physical; none should be neglected...EVER! All should be worked on and practiced often, especially the physical *wink*.
Looking for a mature, stable (yes, I mainly mean mentally and emotionally stable), attractive lady to spend quality time with and explore California. Day trips, quiet dinners, lazy mornings, drama-free and in-depth conversation. Who knows what the future may hold; but, not in any big rush. This year I've published my first novel. Now I'm doing everything I can to make it fly and gathering notes as well as doing research for the second book in the series. But, until I can get the people with the big check books interested, I'm trained as a phlebotomist to pay the bills.
I'm a Story Teller so I love movies and good TV ,which pretty much cuts out most of the Networks. Good music has stories as well. I like almost anything. Especially music made by actual musicians. By that I mean people who either sing or play an instrument. I'm trying to teach myself to play one, I won't say what it is until I get much better.
I suppose like the rest of the world I'm just looking to be happy.
