I am looking forward to meeting someone that is happy and enjoys life. Someone with baggage that can be kept in an overhead compartment. I am a hardworking, established and responsible person, who became that way so I can be fun loving, spontaneous, and carefree. I appreciate in a partner someone who has the same vision of enjoying life. Someone that likes to plan events and enjoy them. I am communicative and affectionate and desire the same from a partner. I like to feel I am building something special with the person I'm with, so that entails honesty, fun and special times. I like to resolve differences promptly and with respect and have a shared belief that we can count on each other. I am looking for someone that loves to be with me, but has her own separate life as well.
This is a great time for me, as I have my "ducks in a row." I've completed all of the education I need with a Bachelors and Masters degree. I have only one child (son) and he is in the Dominican Republic in the Peace Corps. So I have time to add that special someone. I am kind of romantic and like to build memories and set aside time for new opportunities. It is nice if I am with someone that enjoys music as I do. I like to perform (and have an occasional groupie - you), go to concerts as well as hear local talent, and have music happening at home.
I like to cook together, travel both near and far, and especially be around water.
I like to sail and often charter boats for some ocean sailing - day trips - and weekends in Catalina.
I guess, in short, I'm looking for someone that desires to make the best of everything. I enjoy more elaborate things, but also simple everyday life things as well. I feel a special time could be a drive along the beach, or BBQ ing a nice meal at home. A Laker's game - or a weekend getaway to the mountains. It's all good if I am with someone that appreciates the opportunity as I do.
Most of my pictures are within the last 6 months. A couple are about 3 years old. In the band picture, I am the drummer, which is what I normally play professionally. The picture holding the drum looks older, but that is because I have 70s hair - or so I've been told. I might do it again - we'll see. By the way, there were guys on the boat picture as well. (I've been asked.) They were scrubbing the deck, cleaning the galley, etc. so the trip would be pleasant for the females. Isn't that the way it is supposed to be??
I think the profile pretty well sums things up here. Like everyone else here, I'm looking for something special, yet special in its simplicity. I tried not to glamorize anything about my situation and I appreciate that from others as well - (there is a lot of that on Match). So, while my profile doesn't have me saving the world, running the world, or driving my jeep of a mountain top, etc., at least it's true !!
