Death Valley is great but rather vast, and, well, dead. The Torrey Pines Glider Port is a fun place to stop with a pizza and watch the sun set. And most mornings, I take my oatmeal, LA Times and good cuppa tea to the bedroom balcony and watch the sun rise over the mountains.
I like to try new things, love the outdoors, am quite creative. At Halloween I sew the kid's costumes, or make them out of whatever, from Thomas the Tank Engine, to a huge penguin with goggly eyes and foam feet. This year Daleks from Dr. Who. I love playing games with the children. We invent handicaps so I can try my hardest and they can still beat me. I like to xeroscape garden and have huge cacti growing round the house. We make lemonade from the fruit and grow our own nopales for use in omelets. I love food and cooking, and when I travel I seek out the unusual that I won't get elsewhere (Puffer fish in Japan, sheep brain in Chicago).
Good communication and physical affection are important to me, as is being sensible with money. I grew up poor and lonely, so I crave emotional and fiscal security. You can expect me to invest a lot in our relationship. I am told I am very attentive, easy going, funny. I am settled into my new single life, sharing the kids on a weekly basis, and having the other week to catch up and do adult things.
