Date a soulmate from California, United States. I've been on this site far too long with mixed results. Now I monitor it more out of habit and idle curiosity than anything else. I love going to history, art, and natural history museums. History and languages fascinate me. Studying language and history makes travelling an even better experience. I haven't travelled nearly enough and plan on doing a lot more in the coming years. I love studying Japanese, and trying to learn a little Vietnamese and Chinese. I love jazz and afro-cuban and resolved this year to become a competent salsa dancer. I'm making pretty good progress, but would do better with a dedicated partner

I have two great children who used to keep me very busy. Now they are in high-school and college and pretty independent. I don't plan on having more, so if this is really important for you, then I shouldn't waste your time.

When I was in my twenties I found it frustrating that I looked like a fifteen year old boy. Now that I've hit fifty, I've begun to appreciate the upside of looking young. I'd like to find someone similar. It doesn't really matter to me what age you are as long as you look and act like you are in your thirties. I do.

Okay, maybe not the MOST interesting man, but I’ve done some pretty interesting things including zip lining and riding an elephant through the jungles of Thailand, snorkeling in the Philippines, taking a dip in the Dead Sea, coaching baseball in Argentina, photographing Cesar Chavez during a one-on-one interview, wrangling snakes in a first grade class, directing videos for the Professional Golfer’s Association, teaching science to high school freshmen, and being the voice of my company’s online training classes. And then the next day I…Just kidding, all these things did happen, but thankfully were spread out over a few years.
My job is as a researcher, doing my small part to make education better. Outside of work I like photography, sports (playing, coaching and watching), animals, traveling, movies and TV (yes, there are some good shows on TV), and getting together with friends. I even do a little baking on the side (I bake a great Bundt Cake).
Hummm…what else can I say about myself? Well I’m responsible, reliable, stable, thoughtful, kind, hardworking, honest, creative, animal and child friendly, generous, independent, athletic, educated, handy, chivalrous, affectionate, organized, a technology whisperer, and humorous.
