Date single man from Palo Alto, United States. I’m a friendly and optimistic guy, who looks for the best in people. My tendency is to be playful and to see the funny side of things. I’m generally a happy person, though I deeply miss having a romantic love in my life. For a living I teach philosophy—including ethics, aesthetics, philosophy of mathematics, and Eastern religions. I get a kick out of interacting with students and introducing them to new ways of thinking about the world.
[Oops, correction needed. I recently retired and am now pursuing some deep interests that I hadn’t had time for. I’m expanding my art collecting into art dealing (as a private dealer). I’ve started to write piano music and experiment with a new way of creating visual art. I’ve begun doing volunteer work with very little kids—two to four years--at a local pre-school. I play them music and teach them songs, do magic for them (I’m an amateur magician), read them stories, supervise art creation, etc. I would like to teach some of them to read. People tend to underestimate, in my opinion, the maturity of most two-year-olds! I also plan to start up my old meditation practice, but haven’t gotten too far on this yet. Finally, I’m becoming a gym rat. I’ve been working out really vigorously at the gym at least five days a week. I’d also like to start taking yoga and Pilates classes at my gym.]
Getting back to the story of my life, in an earlier incarnation I was a stockbroker in Beverly Hills, a strategic planner for a real estate investment trust, and resident of a Buddhist meditation center. I grew up in a tiny town in the Boston area, graduated from Harvard, and got my PhD from Yale. I love to visit Paris. One of my hobbies is collecting art, especially European and American drawings—which frequently takes me to museums, galleries, and art auctions. Another is playing the piano for fun, mostly by ear. Biking and working out at the gym have helped keep me fit.
If you’re the partner I am looking for, you’d enjoy sharing some of my interests and introducing me to some of yours. You’d like to laugh a lot and cuddle. You’re open to sharing life’s simple pleasures and developing a deep, intimate relationship.
Meet someone special from Palo Alto, United States. Formally great looking, now refer to Norma Efron's books, 61 and well, aging slowly and can't stand it...Looking for energy, connection, fun, a final two decades...looking for someone who is different, makes me laugh, makes me feel young again, and of course this only happens reciprocally...I love sexy and smart...and substantive for the longer term. I'm difficult but a young, curious, joyful heart lies beneath the Budda's life is difficult confirmed persona. Peace.
