Meet someone special from Palo Alto, United States. I moved around a lot when I was a kid but mostly grew up in the suburbs of Denver, then went to college/grad school in the Midwest. After surviving grad school, I was intent on coming to California, which I'd have to say was a great decision. Not missing the snow at all! And there are plenty of hiking trails around to keep me entertained!
I'm a pretty laid-back guy. I don't take myself too seriously. If I do something embarrassing, I'm usually quick to laugh it off. I try to be even-keeled. I don't let success get to my head and failure can't keep me down for long.
I currently work in a biomedical research lab. The work is demanding, but I try to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle. I bike to work everyday. On top of that, I try to make time to hit the gym, shoot hoops, or go running several times a week. I also love being out in the sun (although I've been known to go out during solar eclipses as well :P). As long as the weather is nice during the weekend, you will find me outside hiking in the woods or exploring the city or chilling by the beach.
Other things I like: watching football and basketball, eating all kinds of food (I'm Chinese, I'll eat anything lol), watching big summer movies, rocking out at concerts (recently went to an electronica festival but I mostly listen to alt rock)
At the end of the day, the things I value most in life are my family and friends. I'm true to those close to me and will stick by them through thick and thin. I am fortunate enough to have close friends in the area. But at the same time, I'd love to meet someone special with a compassionate heart and an upbeat attitude towards life.
