Weekend beach trips, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, camping, Cruising on my motor cycle, sporting events and just about anything outdoors. I'm always open to new things. Hot summer days are great with the pool in the yard...its cool to hang out with friends. Just like all 'real men' I even like those romantic dinners, quiet times at home snuggled up by the fire and that kind of stuff. I love to travel and have spent some awesome vacations in Hawaii and Mexico. I'm handy around the house and in the yard. The most important part of my life is friends and family.

I have worked at the same location for almost 28 years now, and hope to work at the same location here in Livermore for at least another 10 years. I am nearing the end of my 17 year commitment for paying child support. My daughter should be graduating in June, though I am not sure. I would have loved to have had my daughter much closer to me during that time, but it wasn't meant to be. I am on the fence about having more children. You would have to be young (30ish) if I was going to do that, or you could be at the latest, in your early 40s, and very commited to me, and with a strong desire to get started. I am more inclined at this point in my life to enjoy your grandchildren with you, so that there is peace and quiet when they, or we go home.
I am not looking for a long distance relationship with someone from another country. I am not going to pay for your one way trip across the country so that you can establish your business in a new area. I am quite content with hanging around here in California, where most of my family lives. I will add...with the exception of vacations, which I should be able to afford when child support does indeed end. So, here I am, just me, and my aging 11 1/2 year old corgi, Dixie, walking around the area in the evenings. Our route is not long. In fact, it is getting shorter. If you would like to get out and talk, and walk in the evenings, I am up for it. I am going to walk anyways, but the way my dog feels, I will be out there on my own more often picking up the pace. Update 5-29-12: Dixie was diagnosed with cancer of her spleen and lungs, the need for a diagnosis followed weeks of her health getting worse. I will miss her.

I'm from Oregon originally but also lived in Alaska, and I try to go back at least once every two years (summers) for outdoor adventures. I worked as a photographer and enjoyed fly-in multi-day rafting/fishing trips (I also guided a few for my friends). I have a great job, but look forward to having more free time within the next year or so.
