Date single man from California, United States. I am a youthful 50. I love exploring new places, mountain biking, climbing rocks, yoga, working out, going to concerts, and reading. Music drives my emotions (rock, classical, new age, kirtan). I am a big fan of Grateful Dead-type dance; you know, the type where freedom of expression rules.
I consider myself to be energetic, kind, compassionate, intelligent, and most importantly, fair.
I am looking for someone with a sense of adventure; someone who doesn't mind getting dirty and dusty, then chilling out in a luxury hotel, for example. We all have an edge, but I'm looking for someone whose edge has been smoothed a bit by life experiences. If you're too cool for silly stuff, well then....
Here's what I did this weekend: Worked out at Equinox. Mountain-biked down Sullivan Canyon (of course, I did have to bike "up" first.) Got high and read a book. Saw C.C. White perform at Exhale, the yoga studio. She performs soul chanting, so naturally I got up and danced. Did a yoga practice. And cooked dinner: chicken tika masala.
I am looking for someone who would find strong gratification in doing the things just described.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I've been single for over a year and I am enjoying my independence. Also, I'm glad I have time for my kids and I am not in a rush to get into a serious relationship.
I tend to look at things on the bright side and I value spontaneity, intelligece and education. I am a people person and I am engaged in a wide variety of activities. .
I would like to meet someone who is reasonably confident and independent. I like, pretty. Don't like phony.
Date someone special from California, United States. I want to meet someone to fight crime with-- while also being a partner in committing crimes against boredom, rudeness and the unrelenting forces of complacency. I would like to meet someone who is part Audrey Hepburn, part Amelia Earhardt, but mainly themselves. I want someone who inspires me to be the best version of myself while still forgiving me on the days when I am not. If they will do that for me, I am will to do anything for them-- OK, well almost anything.
Meet a man from California, United States. Looking for my Muse. I’m very content 98% of the time and don’t need someone to “Complete Me” but it would be nice to have somebody for whom to write a sonnet or two. Eye think that people who take things too seriously, especially themselves, are missing the point. My favorite thing to laugh at is Myself. I love to love and I’m a sucker for “Romance Comedies”, stories of triumph over adversity and anything heartfelt. I think Bullies, people that are angry at the world and mean people in general, suck! Oh… yea, greedy people also suck!
The following diatribe uses some “Poetic License”. I refer to thing as square, when in fact, the things I’m speaking of are actually more rectangular than square. So, whether truly square or not, my disdain is directed toward parallelograms in general ;/
If you wake up in the morning, get out of a square bed in a square room, walk down a square hallway, and out of a square door to a square garage, get into a square car and drive down a square road to a square office, sit in a square chair at a square desk and do some mundane task solely for the purpose of acquiring and attaining more and more square pieces of paper, so you can brag about how many square thing you could buy, but don’t have the time because you’re too busy getting even more square pieces of paper, only to go back to your square house, sit on your square couch and watch a square T.V. and listen to ad campaigns about how wonderful square things really are and where you can acquire bigger and better square stuff.
So, if square (or rectangular) things are your passion, we probably won’t get along very well. On the other hand, if the non-square things in life are your focus, we’ll get along just great!
Here are a few things that are not square: Music, poetry, trees, mountains, the ocean, beaches, waves and sunsets, kissing, soft flannel pants and shirts, dogs, cats, good food and good company, laughter, motorcycles, worn out Jeans with lots of holes and random stitching in them, guitars, kids giggling while exploring creek beds and making mud pies, books (The books themselves may be square, but the words inside are actually quite curvy… and a good story is anything but square), sculptures, most paintings (aside from the frames), meadows, tire swings, ski slopes, fresh air and family.
I’m looking for someone who sees the forest through the trees. There are three kinds of people. Those, that talk about “Other People”. Those, that talk about “Things”. And those, that talk about “Ideas”. If you’re an “Idea” type of person, shoot me an email if you would like to share one or two. I like to be with people who are of substance and depth. I always try and find the opportunity to leave the places I go a better place for me being there. And not to leave a pile of wreckage in my wake. To plant a seed, give a smile or word of encouragement. To make someone else happy and let them know that they are cherished above all things… even if I’m having a lousy day. I believe that being a person of virtue is… well… Virtuous;]
Date single man from United States. Hi! I’m a true believer in fate, timing, and chance encounters … so hopefully this still counts? ;) I’m very active and enjoy working out every day. Learning to surf this summer is a high priority. A healthy lifestyle is very important to me, and I hope you feel the same.
I also like to relax and am really good at unwinding by the pool with a good book and my iPod. I’m pretty laid back, and it doesn’t take much to make me happy. Though it’s a hard feeling to describe, I really like living near the ocean so I can wander over to the beach whenever I feel like it.
Whether it’s SCUBA, driving up the coast, jumping on a plane (or out of one), or staying in and relaxing together, just being with someone special means everything to me. Life’s so much better sharing it with someone who’s upbeat, happy, and fun to be with.
I really don’t have a particular “type” of person -- other than nice, friendly, sweet, and cute with a pretty smile :) -- that I’m always attracted to … every time I meet somebody new, she’s different in her own, wonderful, unpredictable way. A playful, mischievous, adventuresome personality makes her even more irresistible to me ... someone who I can just relax and have fun with and enjoy/experience life together.
The closest relationships I've ever known started out as friendships which developed naturally into something even more amazing. I'm very affectionate with the right person and hope you are too ;)
Chemistry is everything. There’s (almost) nothing better than that butterflies-in-the-stomach feeling when you first meet someone that just might be “the one”. They say “the eyes are the windows to the soul” … well, it’s true. It’s exciting knowing your life can change in an instant … when suddenly you realize what's happening and forever is just a heartbeat away.
Just as important is the emotional and intellectual connection where you're so comfortable with each other, you feel like you can talk forever about anything and everything or nothing at all ... and can't wait to do so. Being together feels completely natural and effortless ... true life partners.
Hopefully, you’ll sit back and watch the credits at the end of the movie instead of racing for the exit to stand in line with everyone else ... relax in your seat after the plane lands instead of jumping into the aisle in a hurry to go nowhere (unless, of course, you're flying first class!) ... and stay for the end of the game instead of leaving early just to beat everyone else. Take it easy and enjoy yourself … and the one you’re with.
Life’s too short to stand on the sidelines (unless you’re at an SC football game … and, yes, I do have friends who went to that “other” school), so if you feel a spark, please let me know!
Thanks for stopping by … Hope you find who you’re looking for :)
