Date a man from Grass Valley, United States. Greetings,
Due to limited social time of late, here I am. I don't know about you, but on-line dating feels a little strange to me. Writing a profile about myself feels like a salesman pitching his wares. - "But wait, there's more, and with every purchase you will receive..." LOL Here is a summary...
I work in executive mangement, and I am involved in TV and motion pictures. I am creative, adventurous, intelligent, loyal, and outgoing. I love to travel and have seen a lot of this world. I can work with my hands, and my brain. I like animals. I dislike pretentiousnous, selfishness, greed, dishonesty, and negativity in people.
I want to meet a person who doesn't have preconceived notions of love. It is laughable and completely unrealistic to me to think that you can invent that perfect person you want to be in love with, and actually find them. I don't entertain lofty ideals created from a fairytale such as "she will be a princess, beautiful, charming, intelligent, loyal, she will one day be a queen, and she will love me for who I am" ... It just doesn't work that way.
I don't have specific "type" but for certain she must be real, honest, and have a positive nature and outlook on life. The famous artist, writer, and poet Kahlil Gibran once said "When you meet the love of your life you will know it in an instant, and if you don't, then all the years that follow won't change it". I agree, but will add "The love of your life will probably be completely different than you ever imagined" . So, I will keep my options open...
Meet someone special from Grass Valley, United States. I am an exceptional father and I pride myself on this. I have two little girls 17 and 13 and I love them more than anything. I am a great friend and I am incredibly loyal and will do anything for those that I love. I am a very low key person. I am a professional executive/entrepreneur. I have started two companies as Founder and CEO and have been the CEO of a third company. Most recently I started the company Schoolpop which raises money for over 40,000 K-12 schools across the nation.
I love to travel and have been all through Europe several times and India. My favorite European city is Paris (the most romantic city on earth).
I'm on the Board of a company that takes pre-med and medical students to 3rd world countries and places them in clinics for thirty day rotations. As a result, I will be traveling to India, Africa and South America.
I am looking for someone similar to share my life with. My partner needs to be my best friend. The person I tell everything to.
Thank you for reading about me.
PS My name Rea is pronounced Ray. It's a strange spelling.
Date single man from United States. I play a few roles: dad, friend, English professor, ex, musician, writer, poker player (sort of)...
I've got 2 boys, 8 & 6, who are, in theory, a joy--though not always in practice :) They simultaneously age me and keep me young.
I love to read, when the job leaves me time (or energy). My favorite books are difficult reads that I only recommend to people who love challenges (they're not for everyone!), but I also love good sci-fi (the kind that make me think) or mysteries (the kind that think for me).
I like at least a few songs from every genre of music, though there's a lower chance I'll like it if it's country, rap, or hip-hop. My favorites tend to be women songwriters (Sam Phillips, Suzanne Vega, Sarah McLachlan, et al.) because they feel most authentic, even though I don't really believe in authenticity.
If I had to choose a religion, I'd probably be Buddhist. I don't have to, though, so I'm not. But I do try to live primarily in the present and to have a "mind like water." Notice, though, that I said that I *try*...
I don't like going to sleep, but once I'm there, I hate waking up.
I prefer small parties to big ones.
I choose gin over scotch, though that's a recent phenomenon.
I can play guitar and bass. I'm dabbling a little in mandolin. I can sing, and I used to write songs. Drums and piano take too much coordination, though.
I don't like *writing* so much as I like *having written.*
I'm not a sports fan, though I love volleyball. And at the risk of sounding like a dirty old man, I especially love beach volleyball.
Like 90% of all poker players, I believe I'm better than average.
I know that my two favorite movies are *Blade Runner* and *The Matrix,* but I can't decide which I like more.
As for "who I'm looking for"... well, this may be a cop-out, but: I have no idea. I'm not even sure that I *am* looking... Still. much of the best in life has shown up when I wasn't really trying...
