I love being a kid at heart and it usually takes the form of seeing movies (including sci-fi, yes I am a bit of a nerd), going to Disneyland, art walks, weekend get-aways, concerts, playing at the beach or maybe a hiking trip. I do enjoy going to the occasional baseball or hockey game but I'm more of a participant in sports than a spectator. I also love a good dinner conversation with a nice glass of wine. In my spare time I paint. Grant it I'm no Picasso, but it is relaxing and fun for me. I am passport ready and my bags are packed in a moments notice! I have been to many countries around the world but there is still so much more I want to see and explore. Philosophically, I don't believe in the victim mindset and I think for the most part we create our reality. But I also believe in helping others less fortunate. I try to volunteer time and services when I can.

What I'm looking for is someone that is easy to be around, funny, and at the same time a little adventurous. Someone that is easy to relax with and just be myself. I believe communication is key to a lasting relationship and how we "relate” to one another is critical. You need to be able to express yourself and listen to what the other person is saying. Meet a man from Orange, United States. Today, I poured a beer, left the glass on my stove, and I knocked it over. That was the first time I cleaned this stove since I moved in! That event inspired me to do a profile re-do! It's kinda like re-arranging the furniture.
If you just chuckled a little, you will have no problem keeping up with me and my dry humor. Additionally, if you happen to crack me up sometimes, that would be very cool! My hope would be that you are self-supporting, you have a car, you have no kids that you will want my help raising, you exercise regularly, and you like my dog Maggie.
I like my sports, morning workouts, brisk walks, and healhy food - except add some beer. Now that I am 50, I can say my physical maladies are a chronic back since I was 14 that is manageable, and I recently recovered from some severe foot pain by changing out every pair of shoes I own except for my Lakers sandals.
Some things about me and some musings:

- I love sushi, but I eat it with a fork or my fingers

- I coached youth basketball for 5 years, and I was All-Net Area Director for one season

Meet single man from California, United States. Frankly, I'm not the type to sit and talk about myself, but here are the basics: I am friendly, polite, loyal, easy-going and honest.
My marriage ended due to infidelity (not mine), and thus truth and honesty are important to me. I raised two stepsons who are now 28 and 22, and I have three children who are 15, 14 and 12. My children are with me five - six days a week. They are bright, beautiful and sociable. One of my stepsons currently lives with me. Many have told me that they think that I am an amazing dad. I am grateful to hear this, but in reality I think that I am simply doing what I am supposed to do - being there, and raising my kids to be honest, happy and contributing members to society. I'm not looking for a replacement "mom."
I have been single for over four years, and I don't carry any emotional baggage. I am one who looks forward, not backward. I would much rather talk to you about our next caper, such as where we'll be to watch the sun set on the Pacific, than talk about what our exes did do/didn't do/are doing/aren't doing, etc!
Although I can accept the idea of walking the rest of my path alone, I hope that's not the way it is truly meant to be. I am most definitely NOT a serial dater.

I have a great career in public safety that I have been in for over thirty years and I still enjoy every day. My schedule permits weekday getaways, if yours does great, if not, then ok. I am financially stable, own my home, can take care of myself and do not like nor bring any drama or "weirdness" with me. I know how to cook some meals, but would love to share the kitchen and learn more.
I have two sons that are young men in their early twenties and working their way into the world. Both my sons live with me but rarely depend on me for support and occasional "fatherly" adise. I am a "dog person" with a great Chocolate Lab. I get along with any kind of pet or animal I meet (except snakes, sorry but I avoid those guys).
I love all outdoor activities, as I like to be active. I am a sports fan and enjoy an occasional sporting event but I am not "fanatic", so you will not catch me sitting on the couch and watching an entire game (not 100% couch potato). I enjoy working out and breaking a sweat, but would not call myself a "gym rat". This past year I have began riding a "dual sport" motorcycle and am really enjoying backcountry rides and adventures. I like to work on home improvement projects and like to think I can hold my own on that (and not afraid to call in a professional if I mess up).
I have not traveled much in my old life, but will change that in my new life. My profile includes some pictures of a trip to Greece in April 2012. I think I have caught the travel bug. I was raised a conservative non-denomnational Christian, but have to admit I have not been to church in quite a long time. I respect all religions/faiths and do believe in God.
In a nutshell - I am an old fashion guy and have not lost these qualities.

Many things are full of pleasure from simply talking, to playing outdoors, weekend getaways, and many forms of social interactions. As I approach my 50's quality of life is important. Beware----I also enjoy motorcycles, movies at home; I even watch the food network, travel channel, etc....not to discount outdoor playing and adventuring in many forms or fine dining, shows, concerts, etc. For food adventures and exploring I most often explore smaller restaurants of various ethiticities.
