Meet someone special from California, United States. Great start! We have at least one thing in common - we've resolved to give Match.com a shot. Is it even possible to find the love of your life at your keyboard? I guess we'll see...Here's me. I run my own business in corporate events. I have three great kids living with me half of the time. My business has taken me all over the world, so I really do feel privileged that I've had that opportunity to travel and experience so much. I really do have a lot that I'm very thankful for but I'm still ambitious to want more, including someone special to share it with. I love the theatre, the beach, fine dining, barbeques, movie nights, dancing (yes, I said it) and...scrabble.. I golf, play tennis, swim (well float around in the pool mostly) and love just hanging with my kids. No dad was ever prouder and nobody makes me laugh more than they do. I have three teenage girls - come on, you've got to laugh! I relish having nothing to do one day, and then being right up against a tight deadline the next. T-shirt today, Tux tomorrow, that kind of a lifestyle! Whenever I face a new experience I like to throw myself in to it so I guess this is it. I know all this is not saying much, but it's a start, right? I have a 18 year old son that has graduated High School and lived with me full time. He wanted to stay in Sacramento with his friends. So I am on my own.... :) I recently relocated from the Sacramento region. I have lived in Florida and Nevada but originally raised in Colorado so skiing and snowboarding is something I love doing during the winter months.
I love to cook and it would be nice to meet someone to share and enjoy that experience with me. My son's taste has greatly improved over the years. But it would be nice to see a pretty face on the other side of the table... :) Rather than his mug......He is very happy with a burger or a taco.
I know that chemistry between two people is very important but dating today can be very complicated. I believe you need to have three important things between two people to move forward in a Relationship. Chemistry has two very important parts 1. Emotional 2. Physical and the 3rd is Compatibility. I have been on first dates in the past and found that chemistry, only to find our compatibility was not there. If you find chemistry with someone on the first date that’s awesome and rare….I believe true chemistry is found and made between people.
Match is a great medium to meet someone but like most things can be abused by a few....I am not as bold as I used to be and tend to be a little guarded on first meetings because of this. I am not into speed dating or chating forever on the Internet. Chating is nice but can give you a false sense of Emotional Chemistry.
As much as I hate dating and would like nothing more than to get off of this site as soon as possible. You and I will get nowhere by hiding behind a screen.....

I am far over from hanging out in bars but would enjoy meeting someone for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine after work or on the weekend. Right now I am looking for a friend (Soul Mate) and possible LTR, someone that can make me laugh and that I can make laugh. Take things slow at first and not pushy. They would appreciate things that we do, and enjoy going places with me. It would be nice sharing little things and moments together. I would like to be with a friend or possible (soul mate) and go and disappear. P.S. The Cigars are once in a Blue Moon and usually go with a Chocolate Port.... ;-)

This is hard enough for me as it is and I put a lot of effort in being fair and honest in my profile. I am in my 50s and I did not come in with the Marine Layer.
