2012 brought with it my 50th birthday and the long awaited (3 years) finalization of my divorce.
I have joined this site because I'm not into the bar or nightclub thing. I know most women my age are enjoying their "empty nest" and want nothing to do with a man who has two young children. If you can't honestly see yourself in a serious long term relationship with a truly great guy who is also a great father then please read no further. I am intelligent, attractive, charming, ambitious, confident, kind, compassionate, generous, eternally optimistic, good natured, funny, fun. I am an old fashioned, traditional man and I'm looking for the same in a woman. I love to laugh and have a talent for making others laugh.
I have two wonderful children who are truly the lights of my life. My son is 7 1/2 and my little Princess just turned 6. I have them almost every weekend so even dating, let alone finding someone special, is rather challenging.

"We are not defined by the adversities we face in life; what truly defines us is how we choose to handle that adversity." After my divorce I am starting over and building a new life with my children. I plan to show them the world and teach them all about life. I want to have a solid loving family to raise my children in, family dinners, family vacations . . . the whole nine yards. I like women who wear dresses; not everyday but if you own two dress and 50 different flannel shirts and men's jeans we might not be suited for eachother. However, if you love the great outdoors and can hike, backpack, camp and dont mind getting dirty once in a while then I'm perfectly fine a flannel shirt or two. :)
I'm looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. I believe getting to know somebody should be done the old fashioned way; face to face. That special "connection" we are all looking for is all about personality. We either click with someone or we don't but you can't really appreciate life in print. The candid flash of a beautiful smile, the twinkle of genuine interest in a person's eyes, or the wonderfully honest and spontaneous laughter of someone who is truly enjoying themselves. LOL just falls short by comparison.
People can sometimes have a tendency to take each other for granted when they become too complacent in a relationship. I believe that if you are with the right person you will consistently desire and strive to make that person just as happy as they make you.
