Date someone special from Wasco, United States. About me:
I grew up in Washington State (Go Huskies!). I love the Pacific Northwest and still consider it home (although I have not lived there in over 20 years).
I had custody of my youngest daughter. She graduated from High School in May and is now attending College. She kept me busy. Now, I am trying to adjust to the empty nest. I am looking forward to exploring this new phase of my life. It would be nice to have someone to share it with!
Music plays an important role in my life. I dabble at the bass guitar and I love to listen to live music. I enjoy attending performances by some of the local bands. My musical tastes are broad...I like both traditional and contemporary Christian, classic rock and classic country, old school R & B and some of the new stuff too (love John Legend). However, Rush is my favorite band.
I previously worked for a local affiliate of national non-profit in the area of homelessness. I have a passion for the issue and continue to work toward the reduction of homelessness in Kern County. I am the Executive Director of a local Public Housing Authority and really enjoy my job.
I probably spend too much time on Facebook, but I have appreciated the opportunity to catch up and keep up with my family and close friends. Along the way, I have made many new friends as well!
A few other facts about me that may give you additional insight into who I am. I have my own blog and I enjoy writing. I coached high school girls basketball for seven years. I love Mexican food, the spicier the better. I love to go to Disneyland AND the beach. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor. I am a romantic at heart. When Harry Met Sally is my favorite movie.
There is of course much more to me than those random facts. I am a great guy that would like to meet someone to spend the rest of my life with...however, I am not in any hurry and I am not willing to settle...in the mean time, I am open to meeting a new friend to spend time with locally. I promise you, if you get to know me you will like me...
