Date someone special from United States. Are you interested in visiting places in the US and abroad? Are you up for trying new places to eat, perhaps once in a while going to the opera, symphony, or a play? How about walks on the beach during sunset or hikes in a mountain forest when it's raining?(trust me, it's great).
Native Californian - Born and raised in California. My home away from home is Maui, Hawaii (both of my parents were born in Hawaii).
Things I like: I like a good beer, single malt scotch and I won't say no to a mixed drink. I used to love to drink wine but it gives me a headache now :-( It's either tannins or sulfates, not sure which. It's very much okay if you're a wine drinker - hope you don't mind if I take a sip out of your glass just to taste what you're drinking. :-) TV: the CSI and NCS programs, Mythbusters, Deadliest Catch. San Jose Sharks - go to 10 games a year plus playoff games. Visiting historic or scenic places or museums. Dining out, dining in, hugs, holding hands, walks on the beach. Playing Rock Band with my friends.
Things I don't like: Reality TV shows are turn offs for me. Loud or discourteous people annoy me. People who drive while using their cell phone. Big crowds - I don't do the concert/clubbing thing. Cigarette smokers. Motorcyclists who ride too aggressively in traffic.
Places I want to visit: The pyramids in Egypt, the Parthenon in Greece, Macho Piccu in Peru, Yellow Stone National Park, The Great Wall in China. I'd like to re-visit Washington DC as they have opened at least two new museums since I was there last.
My favorite vacations were a trip to the Mexican Yucatan (visited Mayan sites) plus extra time in Cozumel and the other was a week long cruise in the Western Caribbean plus an extra week in St Barts (best vacation ever!). I try to visit Maui, Hawaii every couple years.
My last vacation was spent in northwest Nevada 4 wheel driving and camping with a best friend growing up. We visited abandoned mining sites and attempted to go opal mining (got rained out).
I'm going to the UK in late August and Maui in early November.
I'd give the shirt off my back to any of my friends or my family. My friends know I'm reliable and more than willing to assist them in any way possible such as helping out at parties or gatherings of friends, fixing their Windows PC issues, or giving them rides to and from the airport. My friends greatly appreciate my barbecuing skills and I've been known to putter around in the kitchen.
If you email me, I will reply. Winks are okay but I may or may not reply.
Meet a soulmate from United States. Devoted father of two wonderful daughters, ages 23 and 21 years old.
I love to do outdoor activities, hiking, jogging, biking, rollerblading and most of all, I love to travel!
My list of favorite places that I have visited; Barcelona, Rome, Hong Kong, Santorini and Phuket.
We don't need to travel far from home for beautiful places to visit, as there is always S.F., wine country,
Lake Tahoe or Monterey.
I am a true gentleman, who tends to put the needs of others ahead of my own.
Yes, I will open the door for you and take you out for a nice dinner.
I travel often for work, and I love to strike up conversations with people that I meet when traveling.
Connecting with others in conversation, sharing stories and making new friends far from home helps
to make a long business trip an enjoyable experience.
I would love to meet a kind woman that is centered, but not self-centered.
A woman that is reliable, but not reliant at all times.
A woman that wants to work together toward common goals and dreams.
If this sounds like it might be you, send me a note.
Cheers!
Date a man from United States. Hi, Thanks for looking! I offer all of the following, and I'm looking for some of them in my partner: intelligence, empathy, honesty, patience, confidence, a good sense of humor, romance, good dancing, plenty of education, curiosity, wisdom, depth, environmental and social responsibility, and a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Communication is essential. If you were to tell me about your day, or your life, you might be surprised by how well I would listen and understand. And you don't have to do all the talking. People have described me as articulate and intelligent, and I'm interested in the arts, current events, social science, science, and technology. I make people laugh, too. :)
Let's go for a walk...through local neighborhoods, shops, an art gallery, museum, a park, or your favorite place. I love to explore the coast. I want to travel to many places in the U.S., Europe, and the tropics, but I'm not as wild about travel as some of you are.
I’m 5'10" and attractive. Although I’m very thin, I've got good muscle definition, washboard abs, and an athletic build.
I've got a good voice and ear. Maybe we could sing together. Usually, not on the first date!
You'll probably like my dancing. A lot of people have complimented me on it, and I'm continuing to learn patterns and technique. We don't have to go dancing, and you don't have to dance, but it would be a big plus. I like teaching, so you could be a beginner.
A relationship with a woman who has children could work out well, but I won't have children of my own.
Why not many pictures of me with other people?
Working in small organizations populated by women has contributed to my having friendships with married women. They don't get a lot of opportunities for photos with me!
I’m politically liberal, and, although I'm not a fanatic, this is important to me. I campaigned against George W. Bush, but I don't spend much time, these days, following politics or talking about it. I mention it here, because shared values are important in relationships. I've also been a feminist for all of my adult life. I like, love, and respect women.
Favorite reading, last five years:
Super Sad True Love Story, The Cinderella Deal, Looking for Alaska, Thirteen Moons, The Shipping News, On the Road.
Some of my favorite movies:
American Splendor (picture on profile), Avatar, Enchanted, Iron Man, Manhattan, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Walk the Line, WALL-E.
A little daydream: I imagine sitting together. We whisper to one another in a loving way, and I realize, again, how good it has been to be with you for the last few years. I gaze into your eyes and get lost in that mysteriously beautiful effect of seeing them while so close. It’s warm, quiet, and the flickering light of the fireplace casts a golden glow on your face, arms, and hair.
I look forward to sharing life and getting to know you!
Meet single man from United States. Good company, Good laugh, Good food, Good exercise, Good vacation. Life is short and time flies.
Low key, low maintenance - high energy, high spirit person. "tifosicolnago" at goog maildotcom - is where I can reached as well. I prefer to talk in person rather than spilling it out here to meet the 200 char minimum requirements :-)
Date someone special from Santa Clara, United States. Life is good. I live with passion whether its in my work, my hobbies, sports or just kickin' it. I've been self employed a looong time and I'm good at what I do. Some of my passions past include: skiing, playing tennis, guitar (Spanish & rock), photography and martial arts.
Cycling is a current interest that I do for fitness and leisure. I enjoy short and long rides. I also like riding locally and riding in far away places... Music is another great pleasure of life. What's on my iPod is secret for now. I don't expect someones tastes to mirror mine & vica versa. Good news: opposites attract...
So who compliments me? You're sweet and intelligent. You are open to new experiences and aren't afraid to be yourself. And you have integrity.. You will enrich my already wonderful and fulfilling life.
Let's get to know each other...
