OK, a bit about me - I work as an engineer for a startup in the North Bay and pretty much enjoy my job (they still call it work for a reason). I like the people I work with and what I do and the days pass pretty quickly. My hobbies vary widely, but last year I got back into road biking (again) and so I'm trying to do some racing this year (time permitting). In the past I've raced off road motorcycles, done Search and Rescue, mountain biked, climbed Shasta, backpacked, back country skied (telemark). Needless to say, even if I were to meet someone who enjoys one or two of my hobbies, I still need my "me" time and time out with the guys, but always come back more grounded, reflective, calm, and appreciative. I also enjoy real estate investing as a hobby. Also of noting, I have 2 kids who I share custody 50% of. I'm on really good terms with my ex, so my schedule is pretty flexible. My kids are 5 and 8 and require a lot of my time (I have them 50%). I view this time with them as precious, as I assume when they hit Jr. High, they will be hanging out with their friends.
