Being charming and witty online is difficult i find, since subtlety (which i value highly) is usually lost on someone who doesn't know your method of communication. In person i'm vibrant, talkative, polite, and not bad to look at. I'm also a fierce and loyal friend who believes in fighting against little (and big) injustices wherever they might turn up. In addition, i'm usually a big goofball who loves to make people laugh, but i'm also a very good listener when needed, and (not to toot the proverbial horn) i usually have uncanny insight. Other interesting tidbits about me: I eat the heels on a loaf of bread (helps me to know when the loaf is done); I still get emotional (not weepy, just happy) whenever i listen to Stravinsky's Firebird; i'm an NPR junkie; I like making toasts at family and friend gatherings, even if it's just a bunch of people at a bar; I loved An Affair to Remember (Tom Hanks be damned); i look words up in the dictionary several times a day (not the same ones over and over...jeesh); i'm of the mind that i have neither the time nor space to own a dog, though i love them - my cats are entertaining enough; oh, and i like to use punctuation however i see fit...
As for what I'm looking for: I'd love to meet someone who is eloquent, self-assured, ambitious, but also well-grounded. It sounds cliche, but I think i have a pretty great sense of humor, and so should you. I appreciate irreverence, wit, sarcasm (when used sparingly). Someone who is comfortable being herself, and confident enough to talk openly and honestly about everything.
I should add that i have no expectations of people when i first meet them. I just try to allow them to be themselves, and go from there.
