i do use my phone a lot, but i try really hard - and usually succeed - at avoiding it when i'm talking with someone or really trying to pay attention to a movie or something.
going out to clubs isn't my thing at all. i don't drink much, but i don't mind going out an occasional pint or a good pinot noir! and one thing i love about summer in la is the saturday latin jazz concerts at lacma.

Meet someone special from West Hollywood, United States. First, the basics: I have a job, a car, no cavities, my apartment's not filthy, I don't do heroin, and I wear nice pants. Outside that, I'm smart, fun, ambitious, and I like to do stuff -- concerts, restaurants, trips, you name it, Just got back from a trip to Europe. Would like to find somewhere warm and sandy next. I love music – will listen to anything from Snow Patrol, DC for Cutie, and Adele to Missy Elliot, Mos Def, and Common to Brad Paisley, Dixie Chicks, and George Strait to the Vandals, Femmes, and Dr. Demento to Asia, Journey, Nick Lowe, Al Green, and whatever’s in between. I’m not hugely into art and museums but I do go. The Burton exhibit at LACMA was a trip. Love movies. I’m a sucker for sci-fi, slick thrillers, anything with the name “Apatow” on it, romantic dramas (just saw “Last Night” – had some great lines), and fun indie flicks that don't just serve up a big bowl of brooding isolation. I’ve always been active and physical – mostly cardio/lifting now, but I'm working the swimmer build as opposed to the buffed-out gym rat silliness.
The friends I’ve had the longest all have similar traits – smart, social, honest, loyal. I’m originally from the Midwest and still have friends/family there. Never been married and have no kids, and wouldn’t say I’m laser focused on marriage/kids asap even now, but my singles circle has been noticeably shrinking lately, and it’d be great to meet some new people, see if there's chemistry and to find someone to start sharing the best of a LTR with...

I can't believe I hit the 40s and I am not married. How did that happen?!! Great, now I am one of those old guys that got stamped with the "There must be something wrong with you" label. Oh well, at least I am happy and no regrets in life. I am really proud and happy with who I have become and I want to share it with someone special. Are you her?
Who am I:
I am a full time actor with a background in roller coaster design. Ya ya, I know....one of those actor guys....but I work!....mainly commercials. I have over 40 bookings in the last 2 years and I made more money doing that than the design work....AND I only worked 41 days last year! How many people can say that? Eventually I will return to the design work via different avenue through the company I started, but for right now I am going with what works and being that annoying actor person in LA is where my life has taken me:) I am not your typical LA actor, so if you are not into those actor guys....don't write me off just yet.
What am I attracted to?
I am attracted to strong independent women who are attractive, outgoing, and caring with a good sense of humor. I believe the outgoing and independent need comes from my upbringing. I have 2 sisters that are one year older and one year younger. We are very close. A man compares their mother to every girl that he meets. Its true girls! I do compare, but also compare to my older sister that was there raising her younger brother. My sister has 3 degrees and set the advance calculus grading curve at Purdue University. I find comfort in woman who are successful. I am about as real as you can get. I find it difficult to exist here in LA where real is not always the reality. I can care less about what car you drive and what clubs you don't have to wait in line for. I appreciate style and class. Those are a big turn on. I enjoy cooking and wine, candlelight with music. Its fun... romantic... and comforting! I took a couple years of cooking classes and have some great dishes to share! God this sounds so cheesy. Really, I love to laugh, be out, travel, experience life and the world. I wish I could find a woman I could really laugh with. That would be great.
I was a bachelor for Dr Phil's Love Smart Island series on TV. I appeared in 7 segments on the show as Bachelor Todd and on the Early Show with Dr Phil and Julie Chen. Its kind of cool having the Dr Phil approval for being a good guy. It made my parents, who are still together, very proud.
