Date single man from California, United States. I would characterize myself as someone who is free-spirited and not afraid of trying something new. Life is short and I feel you should do what is important to you and what makes you happy. You can't make someone else happy unless you yourself are happy. It's important to have complimentary viewpoints and activities but feel it's equally important for each to have separate activities/hobbies to create a balance with each other. Planning for tomorrow is critical but I'm a firm believer in spontanaity or being able to head out for the weekend at a moments notice. Life's too short to sit back and question too many things without making decisions. I don't think life should be taken too seriously. My match does need a good sense of humor. Balance in a relationship is critical. I still have close single friends from my childhood that I spend alot of time with. I also have married friends that I will golf with from time to time. I'm pretty focused on work during the week but ignore it on the weekends (except Sunday night). Weekends are for enjoying the fruits of your hardwork. I'm all about the weekend excursions to different cities (Boston, New York, Chicago, etc.). Hawaii is definitely my favorite vacation spot. I travel there on business and make it a vacation spot as well. Looking forward to doing more intl travel.
Meet someone special from California, United States. I’d describe myself as easy going, thoughtful and ambitious. I'm naturally reserved, though friendly and engaging. Laughter and humor are important, so my sense of humor--on the dry side-- is usually near the surface.
I still see myself as an athlete, though my competitive days are long over. I like to get outside and hike or jog and enjoy the surroundings here. (The Coastal Trail out past Bolinas is one of my favorite spots) I strive to be healthy.
Learning is important to me. I’m an avid reader and I enjoy sharing conversations about anything and everthing that’s going on in the world. My interests are varied and include the biggies like politics, history, social issues, sports, movies, and art. I love cooking, so it would be great to meet a fellow culinary adventurer. (I recently discovered Indian cooking and the joys of curried lentils.) Travelling abroad and exploring the Bay Area are priorities to me (Greece is calling out to me, again)--time is short and the world is big.
Who am I looking for? Someone who 's thoughtful and compassionate, someone who shares my values and who enjoys a good laugh. Bonus if you love animals.
