Date men from United States / California / San Francisco, 41 year old

Date someone special from California, United States. I was born and raised in the Midwest. Growing up, I was a tennis player, a cellist and a mathlete, one of the many geek trifectas. In essence, I was an unwitting pawn in a cruel sociological experiment, similar to 'The Hunger Games' except instead of wielding an archery bow, I wielded a cello bow and the ability to solve math problems in group competition.
I spent the last 16 years in Texas where I earned a degree, plied my trade as an engineer and learned about frontier justice before finally moving to the Bay Area to be closer to family. My close friends would describe me as kind, generous, and easygoing. My PC challenged friends would describe me as very articulate and a surprisingly good driver. Complete strangers would describe me as Asian.
I am a big goofball at heart, but I do have a serious side as well. I am honest, genuine, and compassionate. I enjoy a good adventure whether it be traveling to a foreign country or exploring a local destination off the beaten path. Despite being an engineer, I don't really fit the stereotype. I try to be the best person I can but know that there is always room for improvement. I am in search of love, friendship and unabashed, belly aching humor.
I am looking for someone with a good heart; someone who challenges me and brings out the best in me. Ultimately, it's all about chemistry. Send me a message if you are interested in learning more.
Best of luck with your search!

Meet a man from California, United States. Can I be the millionth-and-one person to say this is so difficult?... ok.
My house is covered in fog, so summer has officially started. Or maybe it's the contrast of having just come back from the Grand Canyon and 130 degree heat. It's odd when people say the weather's cooled to 95, which I'm certain is still hot enough to bring SF life to a screeching halt. So what am I saying? I really like the city, but getting on the road is an excellent way to maintain a tan in the SF summer. I grew up jumping in the car for family road trips and really miss that. Not to say flying to some exotic foreign destination is bad, but one must admire the accessibility the bay area affords us.
When it's destination SF, I'm usually around NOPA, my neighborhood. NOPA sounds kind of ridiculous, since hipsters hadn't coined the term when I first moved here. I do like being in close proximity to Little Star pizza and all the fun watering holes, but having GG park next door is an awesome thing. I jog and bike often, and weekends are for playing volleyball or having a picnic bbq. When I lived in Nob Hill, Ft Mason and Crissy Fields were the usual. Tilden and Redwood were my East Bay haunts, too... Angel Island, Tahoe, Sonoma, Pt Reyes,.. What I'm saying is parks, hikes, bbqs, big turn on for me.
Flip side is getting a little spiffy, having a great dinner, maybe some show, a little movie. Haven't released my nerd on the dance floor in a while, perhaps last years' weddings, but that's fun, too. Just had a post-wedding party at a friend's house in Santa Cruz and had some post-bowling karaoke.. crazy! I'm always down to check out the latest at deYoung, Legion, MOMA, Academy... so easy to have a little intellectual Saturday.
Having given it much consideration, I don't think it's mandatory for a couple to sync in the area of physical exercise. Perhaps yoga its your thing, but I just can't sit in a room with a bunch of folks contorting and getting all smelly. I more than encourage you to do so, as I like a woman that enjoys staying fit, eating well, and maintaining a happy work/life balance. I attempt to do the same, but I sometimes lapse, especially if traveling for work or around the holidaze. This year was particularly bad and I'm working hard to recoup. I'm calling myself athletic and tone, but I border on slender (180lb), and that doesn't really budge no matter how many pushups or extra helpings of pie. For exercise I've enjoyed triathlon most recently, since a couple of knee issues has kept me from contact sports. My nephews still think I'm full contact and show no mercy on their uncle.
So the meat of the matter. Yes, I eat meat, you could be omni/herbi/carni, I can cook it all. I like opening a bottle of wine and making dinner. BBQ is very high on the list. Could you be convinced to try any food? I do enjoy adventurous eaters. Do you get excited waking up on a weekend morning, or day off work, to hit up the bakery for fresh bread and coffee? Maybe you're more the girl that likes a weekend in wine country, perhaps a little BnB? All good.
I like hugs, especially at the end of a hard day. Are you as good at giving back rubs as receiving them? I would settle for back scratches, but that's as low as I stoop. I'm looking for a best friend. Are you happy with who you are, where you are in life, and ready for something new and special? I totally am, and look forward to meeting you.

Date single man from California, United States. Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.

Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I really enjoy the SF food scene and try my best to be on the cusp of all the great things that are going on in the city. I'm a creative type that grew up surrounded by the arts and along with all things culinary, these are my greatest joys in life.
I'm honest (to a fault sometimes), reliable, and loyal. I believe that chivalry isn't dead and I will always hold the door for you.
What excites me is someone who has passions of their own that they love to talk about and share. Also someone who is physically and socially active, career driven and independent but also interested and capable of being in a relationship.
Preferably you are well balanced between work and home life, indoors and outdoors, and don't mind going out on a school night (I'm definitely not the weekend warrior type). I'm a sucker for a woman with great style and confidence, who knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to take charge or be a planner when she feels like it.
Intelligence, wit, drive, affection, great conversation, a good sense of humor, sophistication without pretention, poise, positivity and class are all tops in my book; not expecting all of them obviously, but a few would be nice!

Date someone special from San Francisco, United States. Well, I am Italian-American, 6'4 tall, 195 Pounds, Black Hair, Green Eyes. I am VERY ROMANTIC single, never married, and have no children. I am looking for a sincere sweet and honest girl with good values and morals.
The most important thing in any relationship is LOVE, TRUST, and MUTUAL RESPECT!!!! I do not like liars period.
What anyone who knows me likes the most about me, is the fact that I am 100% trustworthy and dependable. I don't lie or BS, and if I make a promise I always keep my word.
THINGS THAT TURN ME OFF: Disrespect towards women... I also do not like uptight people, people that do not treat others with respect and decency. Selfish people. People that think they can disrespect others simply because they have money or are educated. Money and education does not = Class or sophistication. You have to be raised with those things. They cannot be bought with money or degrees. Bad Hygiene is a major turn off!!!!!!! I keep my self well groomed and shower 2-3 times a day.I cannot stand poorly groomed or smelly people men or women.
As far as relaxation goes I think a perfect evening would just be: spending it with someone I care about. Maybe a nice romantic dinner, or walk outside or on the beach. A perfect weekend would be: going out of town. A nice drive up the coast to Monterey or the Central Coast (San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach), or a weekend in Napa Valley. A motorcycle ride up PCH stopping along the way to do little things and spend time together. That is the perfect weekend.

Meet a man from San Francisco, United States. A little about me: I'm most comfortable wearing shorts, flip flops and a hoodie but with enough notice, I will rent a suit. I am pretty active- 3 marathons (including the 90 degree Chicago marathon a few years ago,) a few 1/2s and 10ks under my belt, and have pretty much become a yoga junkie since I started practicing about a year ago, and I do the gym regularly. Friends have described me as someone who marches to the beat of his own drummer, and somewhat free-spirited. I admit that I usually don't go along to get along.
I am pretty much a laid back type-B. When it comes to my work, I'm a type-A perfectionist. I love what I do, and the people I work with, and sometimes can't believe I get paid for it. As Jack Welch once said, "If you love what you do, you'll never work another day in your life." I think that's me.
A few random things about me: (that we can use to break the ice when we meet)
I often listen to Beethoven when I run.
I don't own a car, but I think Zipcar is very cool.
I like 2 buck chuck.
I practice yoga about 5 - 6x a week.
One of my favorite actors is Cary Grant.
I have never owned an Apple product.
I have a cat from an old relationship. She was hers but the cat liked me better...
I think that guy Zak on Ghost Adventures is a real tool.
Wait 'till you get a load of my singing.
I'm pretty young at heart. I feel like I'm still 30 years old and I'm frequently told that I look 10 years younger than I actually am. Its definitely something I don't get tired of hearing. I like healthy living but for me it's not a cause. I like to have a drink, be it wine, beer or a vodka tonic. I like to eat and once in a while its not healthy.
To be honest, I'm not sure who I am looking for, but it always comes down to chemistry, doesn't it?. Women that I tend to have chemistry with are those who are outgoing, curious, active and adventurous and don't sweat the small stuff. She's someone who will wake up and join me for a yoga class but who also wants to lounge around in bed with me on a sleepy Sunday morning.
One more random thing: I would like to travel to Hawaii, or Cabo, or Thailand or the Caribbean or wherever and spend a couple of weeks eating, drinking, surfing, and scuba diving with you.

Date single man from San Francisco, United States. Well, I live in the city and I love to be out. I often love to dance and the night scene, but I'm starting to look more at the outdoor activities. I want to try to do more camping, hiking, sight seeing, picnicing, dining or just enjoying a romantic dinner at home. I am a social man and I have a lot of friends, but I really want to start doing different things that also bring me joy. Oh, but I'm not ready to give up Burning Man! ;-) I may not ever, so I hope that doesn't scare you...
I do constrution for a living, I love to remodel and build things from scratch. I also like gardening and landscaping. I like to make things look nice. I love a clean and organized home. I love fashion and stylish living. I like simple but sometimes more depending on my mood. I love home improvements too. I just love being active...

Meet a soulmate from San Francisco, United States. Who am I? If you want it quick and dirty, check out the following (combined) results from two leading personality tests with my own [bracketed] annotations.
“Charming, fun-loving, upbeat, laid-back, and gregarious," and "with a sympathetic nature” I am, so the tests say, “pliant, adaptable, and likeable” [Picture a happy drunk, one that never, ever stops drinking], yet I "often enjoy solitude or intense conversations with just one or a few close friends." I’m “extremely intuitive, quick and accurate in understanding people and situations” and my “executive social skills” enable me to “easily pick up gestures, facial expressions and speech patterns of others” [I may know you like me before you know you like me - you just may have to trust me on this one. ok?]. I’m “mentally quick, clever, and energetic, good at most anything that interests [me], improvising, doing and thinking a lot of things at the same time," [often confused w/ADHD]. However, “when I focus on an issue, idea or problem,” I’m “logical and analytical and “like to concentrate in depth” and “leave no stone unturned” [a Hamlet-like capacity for reflection and, consequently, inaction]. I “use my imagination and engage in creative theorizing," have a “great overview of reality, see many angles to the same issue, and enjoy discussing multiple solutions to complex problems” [I frustrate dogmatic people to no end]. Overall, my “insight, charm and intellectual bent makes for warm and interesting company” and I “take commitments and relationships very seriously.” I look and feel considerably younger than my age. I am actually 43 but decided to put down 39 after I kept getting emails/winks from women aged near 50 and up. No offense, but I'm looking for somebody closer to my age group or younger. Fact is, I could easily get away with saying I'm in my mid-thirties, but I really didn't want to go that route. I'm sorry if you feel duped by my having disclosed my age only after you read the preceding paragraphs, but I think I'm more what I look like and the things I think, feel, and say than a number that simply corresponds with the number of years I've lived.
So, just what am I looking for? I'm looking for a girl who is sunny, sweet and funny, quick to flash a smile. Attractive and feminine, she has a good vibe, warm heart, and gentle touch. She is emotionally secure or, at least, is trying to remain open to the world and herself. She's open and a free-thinker. She’s more than just a little romantic and knows the value of a good kiss and, besides being sensual, is passionate about life. She's smart, capable, opinionated, and a lively conversationalist. She is loyal, honest, and resolute when times are tough.
This is a lot to ask the universe, I know. But chemistry counts for quite a bit in this world. So, if you like what you've seen here, have some combination of some of the things that I'm looking for, and would like to have some fun getting to know each other, feel free drop me an email or send me a quick wink. ;-)

Date someone special from United States. I am a relatively open-minded person, interested in knowing and experiencing different cultures and peoples around the world. I like to keep life simple and minimal. I take keen interest in current affairs and frequently participate in social/political justice actions. Friends and family mean a lot to me, and I love spending time with them. I am a pretty easy-going person and I believe almost all my former and current housemates would vouch for that.
I am looking for a compassionate and loving person, with an appreciation for humor - and sometimes sillier the better. I completely agree with Oscar Wilde (was it him?) that life's really too important to be taken seriously.

Meet a man from United States. Me? I try to be 'professional' at work, but I'm really just a kid at heart - that kid who lived for snow days, jumping in puddles and occasionally pulling the cute girl's pigtails... ;) I used to be a computer engineer in the midwest, but came out here to go to Stanford - now a partner in a law firm, helping high tech start-ups get on their feet, and, on the side, I'm also getting involved in the restaurant business. I love my life, but between work, family, and my great friends (they're like a second family), I haven't made enough time to meet new people... I love exploring new restaurants (love chocolate!), going to concerts, Giants/Niners/Warriors games, hanging out at fun bars/clubs in the city, weekends in Vegas/LA/Mexico/Hawaii, top-down drives to Napa or Carmel, playing tennis and volleyball, hanging out with friends playing pool, poker with the guys, immersing myself in a good book, or just relaxing at home with a movie, a bottle of wine and someone special...

Date single man from United States. I am passionate about everything that life has to offer and experiencing it all - friends, family, cultures, travel, new experiences and people in many different parts of the world - and my career. My faith is also important to me
I care about people getting the best care and good service wherever they're in their walks of life and wheverer they go. Human dignity and respect for each individual is really important.
I have lived in a lot of places but may finally be calling san fran home now.

Meet a soulmate from United States. I’m originally from New England, lived in So Cal for the past 7 years and recently moved to San Francisco about two years ago.
If my friends had to describe me, I guess they would say:
Optimistic and cheerful…my glass is always full…loves to laugh and knows how to make others smile…caring and very considerate…very affectionate and loves affection in return…confident but not cocky…empathetic to the needy and the disadvantaged… adventurous and an outdoors lover… enjoys and loves to cook…witty and flirtatiously sarcastic…very friendly and willing to speak to just about anyone… curious and inquisitive of all things around…appreciative of art and great museums… extremely observant of people’s needs and feelings… and most of all, extremely family oriented with a passion and love for my mom, dad, brother, sister and my two cute little nephews.
So, if you think that we may be a good fit together or would like to just hang out at a coffee shop and have great conversations about life, then just send me a wink or email. ;)
Look forward to hearing from you. :)
