The first thing you should know is that I'm from the island of Oahu in Hawaii. My mom still lives in the house we grew up in, and I go back every winter for a month or two. There is something very therapeutic about warm Hawaiian saltwater. I played most sports as a kid, mainly surfing, skateboarding, tennis, and golf. My dad is a very good natural athlete. I had a pretty fortunate childhood, and I moved to California in 1997 after getting a bachelors degree in physics/astronomy. I taught tennis for 8 years, then almost died in an accident in 2004. I was on my bicycle when some lady drove through the back of me in her suburban doing 60mph. When I recovered, I started golf caddying at Pebble Beach & Spyglass, the best job I've ever had. I'm happiest when I'm active and in nature. I'm looking for a great girl to complete the picture. I'm hoping to find a down to earth, friendly, attractive, active, genuine woman to add the missing piece to my life. One day I would love to have a family(I would be a very good father). I own my own home In Carmel Valley and am more than financially stable. I've created a beautiful living environment, which the right girl would only help to enhance. I'm loyal, athletic, smart, and funny, just not super tall(as a side note: to all those girls with strict 5'9" or over rules, just keep in mind that I've run circles around most tall guys I've ever met). I believe that honesty and integrity will prevent a lot of disappointment and wasted time. I like to tell it like it is. I am a Fireman and have been for 18 years, now a Captain (love it). Its rewarding, stressful and I see some awful things
That said I am not Pollyannaish about life or the world we live in, I just choose not to take it to seriously and just be happy and optimistic
I am happily divorced, was not treated well or cared for by my ex but was truly in it for the long haul
Learned from mistakes and am happier than I have been in a long time, doing the things I love
I am a dedicated father of a beautiful well behaved 5yo. My X and I have always kept her away from our issues, she is well adjusted
I’d probably have more success in a serious relationship with someone who is in a similar situation
It would not be easy for someone who didn’t understand my lifestyle to really get me. I mean “Sorry, I can’t go to Bali next week”. Im Daddy after all and in a relationship you’d have to be aware of my commitments
I spend a lot of time caring for and raising my daughter and have committed to working hard to keep her in private school
However, I have considerable time off and of a lot of me left to give, especially if we have a great time together. I like to have fun and enjoy life
At the end of my marriage and at the beginning of my divorce I was hurt and angry but I'm over that now
I still hang out with close friends drink good beer and better wine but Im a leader and a father first
I love to cook especially for people who enjoy great food, also really enjoy nice restaurants/wine
I am a big "corn fed" guy Im told, 6’4” 250lbs, strong, a little chunky but pretty fit (I like good food) and eat healthy
I live Del Mar/Torrey Pines, would rather run/walk/hike than be on a treadmill

Im politicaly conservative, Reaganite, love freedom, small government, personal responsibility. But, Im a live and let live guy and dont force my views or preach/argue politics. Im easy to get along with and beleive God should do the judging.
