Date someone special from California, United States. Hello! Thanks for looking -
I consider myself to be a kind person with family values, and I think those are important qualities in a date. I think a sense of humor is very important, also. People describe me as kind, thoughtful, and as having a good sense of humor. I am very sarcastic at times, but not in a mean or disrespectful way:)
I think I am probably a better listener than a talker. I enjoy being around others, but would prefer spending time one-on-one or with close friends. I enjoy being outside and I love animals. I live with my daughter (16), who is extremely important to me. I am in education, and due to my profession, I feel uncomfortable posting a picture, but would be glad to provide one if asked. I feel education is important, as I have dedicated myself to helping children learn and grow. I am goal-oriented, and I am currently working on my doctorate. I am also working on getting in shape, and I am hoping I can soon change my "body type" :) I will get there.
I am a big baseball fan and enjoy going to games. I am comfortable with who I am and being single, but I would love someone to spend time with and get to know, and possibly move on from there. I have just started looking to date again after being divorced for a while, I love to travel, and would love to experience new places with someone.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. Talk about a loaded question! About me - I'm an active, happy person who is passionate about the world around me. I'm out to enjoy and learn from life along with all that the world brings. At the same time I try and be the most reliable and responsible person I can be in all of my roles. 'Practical optimist' who looks for the best in self and others. I consider myself an extremely lucky person in regards to my kids, family, friends and job.
I have twins (boy/girl) who are the absolute light of my life. As much as I enjoyed life and the freedoms I had before becoming a dad I wouldn't trade what I have today for anything in the world. That's not to say being a single dad is without challenges but the rewards are beyond measure. I'm a project manager for a great software company - a job which is equally challenging and fulfilling since I'm constantly working with new teams and clients on pretty exciting stuff. I have a great group of family and friends throughout southern California.
I found a quote that seems to capture the feeling I think we're all looking for in some form...
'Oh, the comfort the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. ~ Dinah Craik'
Who I'm looking for. Hmmm...Looking for a friend and partner full of confidence, attitude, energy and passion for life. Gotta like kids. Someone who knows who they are and are happy for it. Someone who is open to exploring....there's so much to learn and do out here....spending time at the beach, the lake, the pool, sports, wine tasting, finding 'local' places to have fun, the fairs and festivals, music, dancing, laughing (I love comedy clubs) At the same time exploring inward is as important as outward...spending time together relaxing in the house or at the beach, helping each other through good times and bad, learning and growing together.
Latest news...moved to San Diego on July 1.
Date single man from California, United States. A good friend told me a statement that reflects where I am now in life. "When the past has past for you at last, let go. Climb down and begin your life again." I figure the best in life is yet to come and look forward to the journey. My profile states that I am separated, which I have been for quite a while. I remain separated at this time so my ex can still receive some military benefits.
I grew up in a small town in upstate New York but after twenty years in the Navy and living here, I consider myself a Californian. I was an air traffic controller for twenty years and now I work in law enforcement. I have many things I enjoy doing but my passion is cooking and creating new culinary ideas. I have my own line of seasoning blends and barbeque sauces that I enjoy exploring new cuisines with. If you are ready for a personal chef, I'm here. Anything outdoors is for me. I've traveled to many places and enjoy learning or experiencing new things. However, I also enjoy spending a night at home sharing a great meal and some wine. I consider myself a good listener and give alot in a relationship. I'm not into drama or someone who brings all their problems into a relationship. It's about enjoying each other and staying optimistic. My friends would describe me as "Dennis the Menace." I try not to take too many things so seriously. I'm stable, and ready to start a new journey in my life.
Enough about me. I would love to find someone who has a down to earth attitude, values and personality. Drama can be reserved for reality shows. Someone who is independent yet needs tendernous periodically. I would love someone who can let her hair down and enjoy a beer. Someone who doesn't dwell on negative issues. Someone to grow with and respect. Could it be you?
Meet a man from California, United States. There is nothing new that I can say that has not been said HUNDREDS of times over!......To loosely paraphrase a wiser man than myself.... I know I went mad, almost as an act of theory: the lost are found the sick are healthy, the non-creators are the creators...... even if I were a comfortable, domesticated sophisticate I could never drink the blood of the masses and call it wine.
Date someone special from United States. I value my free time, as I have very little of it these days. I enjoy staying active and being social, but also enjoy quiet time at home. Mostly it just depends on my mood. Sometimes there is nothing better than to enjoy a day away from it all. I am passionate about reading, and enjoy having time for a good book. I'm very grateful for for my health, and for the fact that I live in such a beautiful part of the country. I'm proud of my accomplishments educationally and professionally, and i work very hard at my chosen profession. In a relationship. I am looking for someone to share my life and that I enjoy spending time with and experiencing new things together.
