A few of the qualities I admire most in people are honesty, loyalty, compassion, integrity, humility and the strength of character to do the right thing even though it will be difficult and require personal sacrifice.
I guess I’m really an old-fashioned romantic at heart. What I want most at this time in my life is what I’ve always really wanted…to find that special person whose character, values and interests complement mine. Someone to share all of life’s little pleasures with and also face all of life’s challenges with…and find comfort and joy in the fact that it is her and nobody else standing by my side through it all…a genuine heart to heart, yin to my yang, best friend and partner for life.
I believe that true friendship is the cornerstone of any good relationship and that the best foundations are built slowly and carefully over time with mutual trust, respect, teamwork and an understanding that absolute commitment will at times require compromise and sacrifice…but, what really makes it sizzle is a healthy dose of chemistry, spice and sass!
What I value most in life are the relationships with people that are close to me. I have been blessed with loving parents and three older sisters that provided me with a sound foundation and a backdrop of support as well as strong role models that led by example. I also have a close circle of trusted friends that will always be there for one another. I believe spending quality time with the people I love is truly the sweetest part of life.
I realize that all this may sound as though I’m a very serious person, but while I take my personal responsibilities and professional commitments seriously, I do not take myself seriously at all…after all, I’m a goofball at heart! I have far more silly than serious moments everyday.
While living an active lifestyle and pursuing career goals is what I do on a daily basis, what's really important to me is growing as an individual…for me, this means being a student of life through travelling and learning about different countries, cultures and perspectives .
I’ve been very fortunate to have travelled abroad and lived/worked/studied in Europe (London and Barcelona) for number of years. Many of the learning experiences that have made a lasting impression on me and that are responsible for shaping me as a person have come as a direct result of meeting people from a variety of backgrounds and experiencing a little bit of life as they do by sharing their passion for food, music, language, sports, art...the list goes on.
I strive to maintain a positive mental attitude and balanced perspective by keeping it simple in the face of life’s ever-increasing complexity and competing priorities. Enjoying some of the little things in life everyday helps keep me grounded (the smell of the salty sea air and the feel of sand between my toes, running in the rain, the perfect silence of snowfall, the smile on my dogs’ faces after a long day at the beach, the smell of strong coffee in the morning, a cold beer while lying in the sand watching the summer sun sink into the sea, and most of all, a big dinner table surrounded by my closest friends sharing a few nice bottles of Malbec/Rioja/Zin/Pinot/Port along with old stories and lots of laughs!
