Date a soulmate from United States. Well, hello there. So glad you could take time out of your busy day for some light reading.
Now some folks on here might touch up and embellish their profiles just a skosh to appear as something they're not, so I'm not going to do that. Nope, no siree. If truth be told, I'm simply wonderful, charming, adorable, and know where the rrrrrrrrrrr is in romantic. I'm smart as a whip too. Athletic? You bet. Oh yes . . . don't forget humble. It's been said that I'm a handsome man (Ma always did have a way with words). Heck, I'm so good, I shoulda been twins. I'm equally comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt as I am in my lime-green tuxedo walking along the beach at sunset arm in arm with my lady.
So hey you . . reading my profile on match. I'm glad you're here. I'm really quite a nice guy. Some say those types finish last, but i'm doin' just fine. I don't take myself too seriously because no one else does either.
I'm taller than most at 6'3". I'm pretty much about always the tallest in the room. It would be splendiferous and specktakulous to meet someone tall; that way we wouldn't have to use curbs or stairs to kiss on the level.
I've travelled a lot. Back in the day I roamed and rambled through Europe, Canada, Mexico, and just about everywhere in the good ol' USA. Ended up living in Aspen, Colorado in the seventies and early eighties. Dang, I haven't skied since I left. Still love to travel, but these days the trips don't seem to be quite as far. However, if you and I hit it off, I'll have Jeeves gas up the Lear and we can do brunch in Paris, Vienna, or Toledo.
And speaking of far away lands--my Spanish is pretty good for a beige guy should you ever be in the need of a translational kinda guy.
Let's move on.
I was married for 15 years and have 3 wonderful kids who seem to be turning out just fine. I think the rest of the youngsters in this world are alright too. Nothing new under the sun, as they say. It's the adults that I worry about.
I love growing things and my gardens are prolific; I've got one of those green thumbs. I suppose that's partly genetic because my folks were farmers in North Dakota. We still have the farm too. San Diego is perfect for gardening all year round and the summer of 2012 harvest shall be the most epic ever in the history of ever. Food Not Lawns is my motto. Okay flowers too. Should you ask me what I'm growing, the list will be long. I eat really healthy (I'm a vegetable eating role model), and I lean toward vegetarianism. Yes, I like seaweed and tofu. I firmly believe the most valuable thing one can own is health. If you're healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually, then every thing else falls into place.
I'm enjoying getting older because I now understand why gardening is considered exercise. That's one instance where being tall is not an advantage. I still go for it, though, and like to keep in shape, so I hit the gym frequently. Some days I'll work on my biceps, triceps, and deltoids. Other times I'll focus on my rhombus, quadralaterals, and trapazoids.
Warning! I'm one of those dang liberals. Thought I should let you know. For some reason, of late, there seems to be a great deal of political rhetoric that disparages that particular term. Liberal is not the opposite of conservative. My good friends at The American Heritage College Dictionary define liberal as: "a. Not limited to or by traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitues or dogmas; free from bigotry. b. Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behaviour of others; broad-minded." But despite all that, if you subscribe to the tea party/republican/christian-with-no-Jesus way of thinking, I doubt that the sparks of romance would be flyin' betwixt you and I.
Truthfully, I'd like to fall head-over-heals in love. It does happen from time to time; so I've heard.
Meet a man from United States. I AM AN EASY GOING PERSON THAT LOVES TO MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH. I LOVE TO TALK,AND I AM ALSO A GOOD LISTERNER. I BELIEVE IN STANDING UP FOR WHAT I BELIEVE IN, AND I'M ALWAYS THERE FOR MY FRIENDS AND LOVE ONES.
GOING OUT ON A DATE SEEMS SCARY BUT EXCITING. I AM A FAN OF SIMPLICITY SO A CUP OF COFFEE OR A MEAL AND THEN A NICE WALK AFTER WORDS IS FINE WITH ME. I AM LOOKING FOR A WOMEN TO BE MY FRIEND AND COMPANION,TO BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER AND HOPEFULLY TO START A LIFE TOGETHER.
Date single man from United States. I am a very easy going guy, don't get too worked up about most things. I grew up in the midwest so I guess I had a pretty simple, but wouldn't trade it for anything, childhood and upbringing. Have been in San Diego for 30 years. Love the fact that you can exercise outdoors all year long.
I am looking for someone to hang out with. My kids are grown, I am 58 years old, but I'm not done living. The love I have for my two children is like no other love. I am so proud of both of them. They also want me to be happy in the last trimester of life. I would like someone to go to the movies, sporting events, dinner, and concerts with. I am a big sports nut, I watch too much on TV and still enjoy playing sports. I am still very competitive and athletic. Running and racing, golf, and volleyball are my favorites.
I am looking for someone that is interested in taking care of their health and fitness. I am only 5 ft 7in and 135 pounds, so she needs to be on the small and slender side. I like the simple things in life, like taking a long walk and talking or just hanging out at home. I also like the simple things in relationships like kissing and holding hands. I am a bit quiet, especially in larger groups, but I am very comfortable one on one. Did I mention that I really enjoy playing golf. What a perfect way to spend 4 hours.
Didn't really like this part of the process, but it was required. Have a harder time talking about me, would rather talk about you.
To know me is to love me....get to know me.
