Date single man from California, United States. Have you found direction in your life, self-confidence, comfort with who you are, passion for verbal communication, dedication to being an unconventional rabblerouser, and in pursuit of new ideas? Quite a list but nobody's perfect. We are all working on ourselves. I'm writing the book on learning from one's mistakes, re-evaluating myself and making changes.
I'm quite comfortable with being alone but I am excited by someone who can make me think, see things in new ways, introduce me to new streets and records I've never heard, and has a passion to engage, be involved, and ready to work against the forces that be (whatever you think they may be).
Are you someone who likes to travel without a plan? Who understands that the map is not the terrain? Knows what it's like to almost die?
I'd rather be at home serenaded by owls, working on my book, baking cookies, making toys with my 8 year old daughter, and plotting the next insurgency than hanging out in a bar or at a party. But I'm there if a rule breaking band is playing at a hole in the wall or a mindblowing indie/foreign film is showing one time on a weekday afternoon.
When you have me there are no cell phones, facespy, sports, or short attention spans to interrupt and distract. There are conversations into the night. Shared plans for the revolution. Fresh baked cookies. Bike rides to nowhere in particular sans the stretchy full body ads. there are strong espressos and home made smoothies. Epiphanies. Partnership. Starry skies. Creaking redwoods. Coyote packs howling in the night. Obscure lifechanging LPs. Love notes in your lunch bag. Surprise visits. Unannounced days off together. A dedicated partner at your side when things go right and when they go badly. A steady shoulder. An open ear and mind. An honest man.
That funny looking earring I'm wearing is a headphone while I was testifying at the UN a few years ago when I was an ocean conservation advocate and ran a non-governmental organization.
