I’m a recent transplant from San Francisco, but I’m an LA native and have moved back to be close to friends and family, who are very important to me. Date a man from United States. I realized the other day that at 38, I've finally pushed my career to where I always wanted it to be. Though never one to stop growing, I'm in a new place in life that's unfamiliar to me. So whatever it might mean, I'm now searching for the next defining facet of my life.
When not working, which I'm committed to more than the average bear, I have more hobbies than my paycheck can catch up with. I'm at home in the outdoors, and selected my apartment because there are trees out of every window (and no neighbors windows). During the summer, my weekends encompass the mountains, and the winter brings me to the desert. Camping, fishing, off-road, mountain biking, swimming, hiking, cooking, running ; you name it, and I probably like to do it. I frequent the gym during the week, and am also usually enrolled in a professional development class. Next on the list is Jeet Kune Do
I'm an east coast boy, and can be offensive if you're not from there or from the mid-west. If you're from SoCal, I'll probably look right through you because you're a breed that I don't generally understand (there are exceptions, but few). I'm dreadfully honest, and am exactly who I want to be.
I may not believe in god, but still love my mother, hold the door open for people, don't lie, and try to make the world a better place every day. I hold an environmental degree, and practice what I learned professionally and personally every day. Politically, I'm a mash-up of what I believe in (but who isn't). A conformist, I'm not (but who actually thinks that they are). Im original, and that's for damn sure!
The perfect date for me is breakfast in Encinitas . I enjoy the little things in life like the sun, watching cream swirl in my coffee, and the smells of native plants. These things can be found pretty easily. I visit Petco more than a few times during the season, and again it's for the little things. I'm not a sports fan, but like a cold beer, cheering with other city dwellers, and conversing with noise in the background.

I have been avoiding this for some reason. Guess I wanted to make it perfect!!! I'm sure I'll nail it on the first try so here goes. I am a San Diego native in a city full of transplants. Nothing wrong with that, I would probably want to stay here too after flying in from some snowy little town to sunshine in December. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not in the business of talking about other people to make myself look better (even though I'm about to) but why does everyone move here get a tattoo, a skateboard, a pitbull, of course the more recent addition... a pair of skinny jeans and call themselves locals after they've been here for 3 months? Ahh just an observation.
I live pretty central and love to go jogging in Balboa park, walk down into little Italy and try all the tasty restaurants or go downtown to catch a game. I also love the beach (who doesn't) and do decent amount of hiking. I like to travel but i'm better at spontaneity than building an itinerary months out. My job works better with off the cuff decisions so thats how I tend to be. It doesn't mean I'm not grounded or lacking a plan I just think life is more exciting that way. Ok what else...
I love great music (vague I know) great movies (also tells you nothing) and I think being able to take a joke & laugh at yourself is about as healthy as juicing Kale. (i do that too!!) I love going out and meeting people. I counter act this by signing up for triathlons and distance swims to force myself to be healthy. Of course everytime i do it I love how it feels to be in great shape and get hooked on chilling out at home and cooking good food. Oh yeah I like coffee too.

A few things about me as you will notice in my profile...Laughing or making someone laugh is an important part of life. Golf is a blast as long as someone doesn’t lose a finger or something. I enjoy physical activities as long as I’m not missing a shoe or get one of those cramps in my foot. I believe open communication is important to creating great relationships with family, friends, and my partner. I am comfortable with who I am and like people that constructively tell me how they see it. Stopping at status quo does not sit well with me and I admire someone who is always striving to become a better person. I am a firm believer in hard work and always put forth the effort when I believe it is worth it. Life balance is important and downtime is a critical part of happiness for me. Eating healthy has always been a part of my life, but the occasional trip to In-n-Out is always nice too!
I am looking for someone who likes being spontaneous and also has plans to live out their dreams, understands success is something that just doesn’t happen overnight, and doesn’t require material items to mask their true self. At age 17 I was hit head on by a truck on my dirt bike. I?ve broke both legs, my pelvis, plus ribs, shoulder. But hey destiny hasn't won yet! I'm still right here fighting!!! I will prevail! And I?m sure I will live a long time. Because that would be funnier, wouldn't it. (JK) Nov 2003 I was diagnosed. with Multiple Sclerosis. I currently live with my parents. (Fun).
