Date a soulmate from California, United States. Life is pretty good for me. I've got family and friends that care about me and a good job that allows a balance of work and life. I use my free time to go out and explore, whether it be hiking and camping in the mountains or occasionally checking out a new museum exhibit or festival. I love to travel also and often think about the places I'll go, generally taking the lead on detailed planning, though I'll be letting a friend guide me on my upcoming trip to Morocco.
When I'm not out, which is usually only weeknights, I'm watching movies via Netflix or cooking something from a recipe book. I also enjoy keeping up with the news, including in-depth stories. It is important to get information in context and to see both sides of complex issues.
I'm looking for someone who doesn't mind occasionally getting dirty to have fun outdoors. It's also nice if you appreciate photography but you don't have to be any good at it. You have a sense of adventure and a curiosity about the world. I can show you the variety and beauty of the Bay Area and beyond. If you think we may compliment each other don't hesitate to say hi.
Meet someone special from California, United States. Coming up with a defining user ID on here is kind of challenging. I tried to start with something about riding my bike or playing guitar, but they all seemed forced, like "Ride &Play" or "GuitarBiker473". Ride &Play sounds like I'm in a new version of Kid &Play (which would be awesome, but sadly that opportunity has not presented itself), and GuitarBiker creates the picture of a Harley riding hooligan with a huge ZZ Top beard and a giant electric guitar strapped to his back. Then I thought "perhaps I should devise a name that speaks to my general philosophy on life, like 'balance' or 'remember to breathe'", but then I sound like either a new age self help book or a Celine Dion album. Neither of which are really true to who I am. I mean sure, I listened to Celine Dion's song from Titanic four hundred times like everyone else did, and secretly loved it, but I never owned it... Honest.
Match comes recommended to me from some close friends, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm not really all that good at describing myself, but here goes... People tell me that I'm caring, honest, humorous, easy to get along with, smart, and self-aware. I tell them they are nice, excellent at giving accurate feedback, agreeable, and very wise. :)
Okay, just kidding. I don't really tell them that.
I just say "whoa... thank you".
Activity-wise, in general you can find me on my road bike pedaling happily all over the east bay hills on most sunny weekends, and hopefully skiing in Tahoe for most winter weekends. When home, I'm usually getting up to something musical, whether it's going to see one of my favorite artists or practicing/performing with my band (or solo). I like to have friends over for brunch so I can make pancakes and bacon for everyone in my living room with my iTunes playing a random assortment. I don't watch TV in real time, but I'm anxiously awaiting the next seasons of the following on Netflix: Treme, True Blood, Modern Family, Californication, the Office, & Justified.
My ideal first date would be something where we could meet somewhere mellow to talk and get to know each other. It could be anything from meeting at a cafe for coffee/tea/beer to meeting at a farmer's market to a hike somewhere nearby, or anything along those lines. I'm flexible.
In you, I'm looking for someone who is kind, confident, honest, values friends and family as much as I do, and would enjoy trying out new recipes with me at home as well as joining me for nights out on the town (and doesn't mind the occasional well intentioned run-on sentence). Also, a sense of humor would be welcomed.
Be well. :)
Date single man from California, United States. I'm new to this but thought I'd go ahead and finally give it a shot. Friends and family describe me as intelligent, fun-loving, and handsome. I’m an easy going person who loves good company and conversation. I enjoy adventure and travel and am open to trying new things, even if it involves jumping out of airplanes (my parachuting experience a few years back). I am into fitness and enjoy the release and energy you get after a good workout, hike, or swim. I do enjoy the simple things in life and try to make the most of every situation. I’m looking for someone who is open-minded, honest, compassionate, and can be independent. Beyond that, I believe chemistry is something that develops after people meet. I’m looking for companionship/friendship first and see what develops from there. If you are interested in new beginnings’ drop me a line and lets get to know each other better.
Meet men and women from California, United States. My name is Darren. I'm a lifelong Bay Area native, been a Christian for about 17 years. At heart I'm a very "personal person." I pride myself on being devoted to my loved ones - family, friends - and enjoy spending time with them, doing just about anything. I'm sensitive and a good listener, especially in difficult times. I also have a rather unique brand of humor.
The #1 thing I'm looking for in a relationship is a shared walk with God. Let's encourage and pray for each other, worship and study the Bible together, find ways to serve together. (I have particular leanings toward compassion and worship.) And of course, let's just enjoy each other's company and get to know each other.
Date a man from California, United States. Make me King…
Tennis is obviously my favorite sport. It's not necessarily the sport that I am best at, it's just the sport that I have the most fun playing (other than running but I consider running a pastime/activity). Give me a fully charged ipod/mp3 player and I can run infinitely. Running allows me to take a trip through the mind to wherever I choose in the universe, 76 Quintillion miles. I never learned how to swim so the closest I ever get to water is the sand on the beach or the shower.
Of course I will not describe who or what I am looking for...That would make it all too easy for someone to re-invent themself.
Her PROS:
"Likes" to Cook (you don't have to be good at it, but to "like" doing it is the point)
Argues in the best of manners (then let bygones be bygones)
Her CONS:
Bi-polar (ups and downs like a Seesaw)
My Agony Agony Agony
I am going to post a few pics up soon which show that I actually wear shirts in real life...This is cyberlife
The End...La Fin
