Meet a soulmate from United States. I'm not a member right now, so all I can do is wink. I know it's lame. I hope you'll wink back.
I recently got an email from a woman with whom I went to grad school ten years ago. I had asked her out several times back then and had always gotten the Heismann from her. Instead, she ended up dating a different guy, much more of a "bad boy" and I settled for being in the friendzone. Her email said simply, "For the record, if I had to relive ASU, I would have chosen more wisely."
I am not a player. I am looking for the longest of long-term relationships. My parents were married for 30 years when my father passed away and I want what they had. I am a great guy and have pretty old fashioned values. I believe in opening doors for my date, allowing her to enter a room first, treating her with respect and that there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing astroturf and the designated hitter.
I have a pretty dry sense of humor that is sometimes a bit of a high-wire act. You will either think I am funny as hell or you will roll your eyes and think I'm corny. I love to travel, read about history, watch documentaries and eat good food. I am a big sports fan, especially baseball and hockey. That said, I also love the symphony, opera and museums. I am equally comfortable in gym shorts or in a tuxedo (I look damn good in a white dinner jacket). I recently moved to the area from Eastern Washington and am hoping that I can find someone to help me find some fun spots.
I am training for my first marathon. I got a bit of a wild hair a few months ago to get off my rear end and try to accomplish something big. Let's just say that my body does not resemble that of a typical marathoner's. I have gotten to the point where I can run 10 miles at a time, so I have a ways to go until the event in July. I have dropped a lot of weight and feel fantastic. When I registered for the marathon, I was put into a division called "Clydesdales." I guess they could have come up with a worse name for it.
I have a passion for travel. I have been very lucky in my life to have taken a handful of trips abroad and look forward to the next one, though I have no idea when that will be. I have been to 42 states and 31 countries. I take pride in being a traveller and not a tourist. My travel motto is, "it's not wrong, it's different." I think Americans get a poor reputation around the world for failing to appreciate the culture of their hosts and trying to impose their own.
So, I have decided to come back to Match.com. I met my ex-wife here about seven years ago, so hopefully I can find a quality woman this time. I'm a kidder.
I am looking for a woman who will tolerate my sarcasm and dry wit and contribute her own to keep me honest. Someone sophisticated, intelligent, confident, honest and sexy as hell. BTW, if a woman thinks she is sexy, then she is sexy, no matter what society says.
If you like my profile, please drop me a line. If you don't, I wish you all the best in your search.
Love,
Mike
