I grew up in New Jersey (I try to admit this as rarely as possible), went to college in Maine (translation: froze my butt off for 4 years!), then Colorado for 11 years, and I've been in San Diego now for almost 4 years, and absolutely love it! The ability to be out and doing stuff all year round comfortably is just unspeakably awesome. I've been out of it for years now, but I'm planning to get back into sailing now that I've got the ocean so close by. I've chartered boats in the caribbean for some of the most incredible vacations (which is second only to a great scuba vacation, and then there's ski vacations, etc)! I'd like to get my skills back in shape to start sailing around the area here! If a sunset cruise with some wine sounds good to you, it most certainly sounds great to me!
Though I love going out and being totally goofy, I'm also extremely career-driven. I absolutely love what I do for a living, and I've worked extremely hard to get where I am since I went and got my degrees in a totally different field (social psychology… Not clinical, so no, I can't analyze a dang thing about people, as much as such a super-power would rock). I'm a professional geek, coding software for Windows machines, even though I'm a total Mac lover, and have super warm fuzzy memories from when I used to work for Apple. I feel lucky to have found something I truly enjoy for that whole career thing!
I'm super-fun, and super-adaptive to all sorts of situations, meaning that I'll be serious when I need to be, polite when I should be, and I love to keep things light-hearted and fun the rest of the time! I officially call BS on everyone who claims they can find fun in an insurance seminar… I'm sorry, but you can't. However, if we can exchange a few exasperated eye-rolls at each other through such painstaking activities and follow it up with a few drinks and blatant mockery of the insane awfulness we just sat through, then we can totally rock this, that, and any other boredom infused obstacle in our path! Afterward, whichever one of us recommended spending the day in an insurance seminar has to apologize profusely. As long as we come out with a great story to tell, it's worth it!

I’m highly dedicated to the �scholar-physician’ legacy, and spend much of my time reading, researching, writing, treating patients, and otherwise managing my private practice. And all of that is fun for me—except when it comes to dealing with insurance companies.
Even with all the time consumed within my profession, I welcome a partner to celebrate life outside of work.
I’ve logged many hours immersed in city nightlife. So, by now, nothing much impresses me when it comes to the latest hot spots. I’d much rather spend time exploring other aspects of the city, or be surrounded by nature. So my partner would have to be over the club scene as well, or at least be content if I don’t accompany her.
But don’t get me wrong—I have abundant energy, and can go all night, with the right person(s).
Even with my commitment to health and nourishing life, I’m practical: I enjoy gin and tonics, and the occasional cigar after grilling or golfing. It’s not often, and I never smoke alone—only when amongst good friends. It’s a bonding thing.
I used to be an engineer. Many people consider it a radical shift to be on my current path. I saw it as a necessity—for I was a bored and depressed engineer. Now, I’m truly inspired and appreciate the opportunity to interact with such a diverse crowd.

I have my own business, so I am my own boss. I started and presently own and run three clothing brands, a surfboard stand up paddleboard brand, and a sandal line. When that doesn't keep me busy, I like to do a little relaxing, surfing, traveling, fishing, fly-fishing, tennis, bike riding, camping and hiking. Just started playing tennis. I love it!! I have been avoiding this for some reason. Guess I wanted to make it perfect!!! I'm sure I'll nail it on the first try so here goes. I am a San Diego native in a city full of transplants. Nothing wrong with that, I would probably want to stay here too after flying in from some snowy little town to sunshine in December. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not in the business of talking about other people to make myself look better (even though I'm about to) but why does everyone move here get a tattoo, a skateboard, a pitbull, of course the more recent addition... a pair of skinny jeans and call themselves locals after they've been here for 3 months? Ahh just an observation.
I live pretty central and love to go jogging in Balboa park, walk down into little Italy and try all the tasty restaurants or go downtown to catch a game. I also love the beach (who doesn't) and do decent amount of hiking. I like to travel but i'm better at spontaneity than building an itinerary months out. My job works better with off the cuff decisions so thats how I tend to be. It doesn't mean I'm not grounded or lacking a plan I just think life is more exciting that way. Ok what else...
I love great music (vague I know) great movies (also tells you nothing) and I think being able to take a joke & laugh at yourself is about as healthy as juicing Kale. (i do that too!!) I love going out and meeting people. I counter act this by signing up for triathlons and distance swims to force myself to be healthy. Of course everytime i do it I love how it feels to be in great shape and get hooked on chilling out at home and cooking good food. Oh yeah I like coffee too.

Meet people from California, United States. Ever have a Jerry Maguire moment where all of a sudden thought and ideas just become so clear? I have had a few of those and I am sure there will be many more to come. What has been so clear to me is that as wonderful as my life already is, I really want to share my life with someone else special to mutually enjoy our lives. This is going to scare off the wrong people and keep the right ones interested in reading on, but I am in settle down mode. Don't read this as I am in a rush, but I am just looking for more substance. Long gone are the party all weekend times. I am still going to go out and do some really fun things, but I am focused on enjoying life through other avenues. I love hosting event/parties with friends and family. Yes I do have some skills in the kitchen and I am not afraid to mix it up over a stove and try some new things. In fact my friends and I have a little potluck dinner where we can showcase our masterpieces, or at least our first drafts. Traveling is big for me as well and before I take my dirt nap, I am going to see MORE of this world. I love it when someone asks me what my favorite Italian restaurant is at. Even though I love Bencotto Italian Kitchen (Some free pub for them) here in SD, my favorite is Ristorante di La Mole in the Tuscany region.
Now of course life would be amazing if all you had to do was travel, but we live in freakin San Diego. It is a year round vacation here and there is no way I could see myself living anywhere else permanently. My rather large family is located here and I get the greatest joy seeing my nieces and nephew grow up being very close to their uncle. I will warn you that my family is big and very close, and it can be a little intimidating because I have 5 sisters. No that was not a typo,
So here is my chance to let you know what I would look for in you. First and foremost you have to be respectful, because trust me, there is nothing worst that a pair of Asian parents who’s respect you do not have. Meet someone special from California, United States. Never would have thought I'd be on here, but life does strange things doesn't it? I have 3 wonderful children who are my life. I am now realizing the great balance needed between work, family, and the ever important "me" time. Never had that up until now and I see the benefits. I never look bad at the past and use my knowledge gained to better myself for the future. I am so glad to be in control of my own destiny, knowing I will eventually meet someone on my level of experience and compassion in life.
