But it makes sense to extend my social circle beyond the boundaries of past and current work and play experiences right? Curiosity is one of my primary driving engines in life. Even in grade school I wondered about what it was like in other places in the world outside of Missouri. I’m grateful to have had the freedom to make my own way in life … I’m stubborn like that. I’m well-traveled because I love to explore and learn. My favorite way to spend time is with other adventurous and open-minded people. We could be anywhere - hiking, making dinner, or solving a problem together. But the conversation will be intriguing, enlightening, … and hilarious.
I adore laughter whether it’s mine or someone else's (especially if I was the cause). I love how it sounds and I love how people look when they’re laughing. Probably the greatest gift I received from my Mom was the ability to laugh at myself … and now I will never cease to be amused.
But it’s not all world travels and exploration is it? Most of the time we have a routine. I’ve been fortunate to never have had to work on weekends. Most are spent at home but I enjoy planning special trips – road trip, camping, motorcycle adventure, or visit to far-flung friends. I like giving and receiving a massage in that spot that’s tight after a day of hiking, or yard work. I’ve been learning how to cook but it’s way more fun to cook with someone else. I like sleeping in on Sunday mornings and then cooking breakfast to take back to bed while we finish the movie we fell asleep to the night before.
