Meet a man from United States. I am a somewhat retired former accountant and former Mexican restaurant and candy store owner. If you count the number of years that I have logged on this earth, I am an adult, however, mentally I have been age 24 for almost 40 years. I had a rather unique early childhood and early life experiences that have shaped this thinking and it has worked well for me. I believe that life was meant to be enjoyed and if you keep a positive attitude, you can enjoy it forever. All of these boxes that are supposed to be "checked" in this questionnaire don't seem to fit ME. I enjoy flying my plane, riding my Harley, beach towns, dining out, amusement parks, boardwalks, 4 star restaurants, greasy spoons and hometown diners. I like Los Angeles (Olvera Street, Union Station, 4th of July at the Hollywood Bowl, all of the beach piers, the Griffith Park Observatory, Westwood Memorial Park, Farmers Market and gobs of restaurants & nightlife) but I'm living in San Luis Obispo and enjoying that as well. I like exploring unusual and out of the way places. I enjoy cooking although owning a restaurant with a full commercial kitchen really spoiled me in that regard. Most important to me is spending quality time with my friends. I have precious few friends but those that I have are loyal to me and I, in turn, am loyal to them. My friends are like family to me. And I am here looking for one very special friend.
Traveling, for the sake of traveling, is major fun for me. Often I don't care about the destination. I would like to try taking a train trip across the US or just up the west coast. I've always wanted to take a trip by driving an eighteen wheeler. A tramp steamer might also be an adventure. I love weekend excursions. I flew the little blue and white plane that is in the photos from California to Florida in November, 2011, and it was an absolute RIOT. I am looking for a companion who enjoys at least SOME of the same things that I enjoy; if you don't enjoy ALL of them, then I hope you will understand why I MAY sometimes need space and some quiet time by myself. (Unlike some small puppy dogs, I can be trusted if left alone and I won't stray!) I, in turn, will respect you for who you are; and I don't criticize or nit-pick. I am looking for someone who will want to think of me in the morning, think of me at night and all of the time in between; and, I will be thinking of you at those same times. I offer these precious things: friendship, companionship, devotion, intelligent conversation, laughter, an occasional bouquet of red roses and a cute card on a special day; anything beyond those,well......, we'll have to wait and see.
