Meet a man from United States. I’m a single dad, raising one beautiful daughter in a very small town in the Sierra Gold country. I relocated primarily to facilitate custody and visitation, so I'm both open to, and intrigued by the prospect of relocating again. We live in a beautiful 140 year old Victorian home that I’m 99% finished restoring. I love SCUBA diving (first and foremost), rodeos and horseback riding (just watching these days, but I can still shake out a loop), skiing, and shopping. Most weekends you’ll find me either at an ocean SCUBA diving, or on a mountain skiing. And most always dining and dancing at night. I have this thing for dancing (I Love It!)
In my life, God is first, my family is second, and I am third. I’m told that I am a hopeless romantic, but I’ve learned it’s better to be both pragmatic and passionate in both love and life. I love flowers, I plant over 700 annuals in my yard each spring, and I’m famous for sending bouquets of them twice a week for a month just to make someone smile. Sound interesting?
I value honesty and discretion highly. I trust you take care of yourself physically, as I believe that the body is the Temple of our Spirit. I’m searching for true love; my soul's recognition of its counterpoint in another. I’m also looking for a sensual, loving, passionate woman who keeps an open mind, and would be excited at the prospect of exploring different ways to help us always keep our relationship as new and exciting as it felt in the beginning.
I love my free time. Conversely, I am sure to give my partner the freedom she needs, for work or play. This is where trust and honesty become vital. Still interested? You will always know what is on my mind. I don’t play games (mostly because I don’t understand either the rules nor the objectives). I hope that you don't play them either. I'm a firm believer that there’s so much to experience in life, so I just let myself be surprised. And I appreciate a woman with a secret or two.
Do you have an idea in your mind of what true love should be like? Check out 1 Corinthians 13, versus 4-8 (if it sounds familiar, it’s because it’s read at just about every wedding you’ve ever been to!) That’s what I’m talking about! It’s exactly what I’m aiming for. Not just the ideals, but daily implementation of those principles. Starting with patience and kindness ...
Now … if you’ve not had closure over your last relationship -- if you find yourself reminiscing about a former lover -- if you 're still attracted to men who are obviously no good for you -- then please, pass me by. Been there, done that. And if money is your oracle, thanks but no thanks. I’d rather live alone on a deserted island than squabble over money. You can’t buy a breath taking sunset. Or a kiss that takes your breath away. Or true love! To be sure, I’ve achieved success with my business. But it’s not my ambition to mould a future around thinking of ways to exploit it.
Please have a picture in your profile. A picture of YOU, and not of your cat, or a sunset or a mountain. One where I can see your eyes. They are, after all, the gateway to the soul. This may be the new frontier in meeting people, but I’m just a little bit old school; I like to see whom I’m talking to.
I’m told I do look and act much younger than my age, but I’ll leave that assessment to you. It's been my experience that while good things can be made to happen quickly, great things always take time. So I believe in "True Love", "Soul Mates", and definitely "Happy Endings." And although I'm not a big supporter of "Love At First Sight," I will concede that sometimes you can discern right away if a person doesn't feel right for you.
Of course, in matters of the heart, timing IS everything.
And bonus points if either "The Notebook" or "The Phantom Of The Opera" are one of your favorite movies ....
