Date a soulmate from Moraga, United States. Thanks for taking the time! I hope we click!.........I'm quickwitted, have strong work habits, and have a fair handle on who I am (and am not). I know my way around both coasts and what's going on in between and beyond........... Quiet at first, but comfortable in most settings. I come across as East Coast (the So Cal beach upbringing...).......... ........... I have an 21 who's just finished college and is off and going.......... I have a tux (somewhere), but am probably more casual than dressy. I work in the City and live in the burbs. A decent mix, but I'd hate to have only one.......... I could afford to lose 25 pounds and am in the gym regularly trying to do something about it. I'd welcome a work out partner,
I check 4-5 newspapers every day on line. I'm also pretty well read, in areas of choice. I'd be lost in poetry, self help, etc. (I do, however, absolutely get the Mars and Venus stuff - what was hard about that?).......
We all want to be able to walk into a room and just know, right? That would be fantastic, but it hasn't happened yet. I'd love a partner in crime, who loves travel, has at least a basic grip on what's going on in the world, enjoys laughing and doesn't think either of us should take ourselves too seriously and who views a relationship as being mutually nurturing, not a test of wills......

I have been exploring the surface of planet Match for a few weeks now. Most of the inhabitants work out 8-10 times a week, live to travel the globe( "loved the Seychelles"), surf, spelunk, lead productive and satisfying lives, yet wouldn’t mind meeting a certain witty, attractive, kind, sensitive and self-confident individual to exchange conversation, romantic fun, and a crazy little thing they call love. Many claim to enjoy going to sporting events! (My mind must be playing tricks on me in the thin atmosphere.) One can search in vain for a self-respecting couch potato(Is there a Spud.com?) and get lost in the myriad sincere, creative, funny and soulful descriptions; luminous lures waiting for a strike. Sifting through the profiles, it is sometimes disconcerting to suddenly encounter misspeelled words, blurry pictures, pictures of nature, horses, dogs and cats. Love me, love Fluffy?
Most of the identified baggage would fit neatly into an overhead compartment.
Email exchanges can be quick, deep, informational, funny and ephemeral, lighting on and off like fireflies in the quest for the “one.” Endings can be abrupt. This is a mission after all. There is much excitement(often followed by disappointment) to see who winked, was interested or emailed. Checking the inbox can be as addictive as crack. Is there a Matchaholics Anonymous yet? I hereby promise not to look at my inbox for one day. Oh damn. It’s only been an hour. The inbox is evil. Get a grip. One minute at a time.
I know there is more to explore but in case I get pulled in too deeply, be prepared to beam me up at a moment’s notice.

Uhura: "Spock, we have received a garbled transmission from the Captain. Apparently, coming from an eating establishment on the surface."
Spock: "Transmit"
“zzzz….she went to the bathroom…I only have a minute to get this message out. She was talking about her rescue puppies, love of hot Bikram and horses... the wine had caused me to turn off my phaser and was being pulled in by her tractor beam eyes.. physical contact was imminent...zzz.. suddenly she wondered aloud if we were ever going to get socialist Kenyan out of the White House…zz ..Spock,I know it isn’t logical but I had been so mesmerized by her.. zzz……, I had forgotten to check her political proclivities before agreeing to dinner and movie…. Time.. has.. warped… to.. a.. slow.. crawl. Should I feign a sudden bout of food poisoning or pretend like I am a big fan of Palins reality show? …Going with food poisoning. Captain out.
Spock: "Beam him up immediately." Sulu: "We can’t get his coordinates." To be continued…
