Date a man from Placerville, United States. Blessed to be semi retired at an early age and taking full advantage of it. Now work is fun and there's time to play between seasons! Have experienced much, yet so much more to do. Love California and know many back road destinations. Let's explore them together!
Love the outdoors, camping, travel, being in and by the water and all types of snow skiing (especially alpine). As an instructor and coach, I can ski most of the mountain, but prefer to take it easy, ski the groomers and play with the edges... Winter 2011was heaven, but 2012 was a challenge until it finally snowed, but I worked near every day. Skiing has saved my life! (185-190 lb / 19% BF / 115/68 BP) I feel young, vibrant and free and looking for a friend to share these and other pursuits.
Will share what I have to offer without a lot of expectations or demands, but honesty, respect and kindness are a must. More than willing to commit if the stars and person are right. Are you the one? If so, I'm loyal as a Labrador.
Gentle, caring and loving. Love to give massages, romance, cuddle, caress and kiss... Oh, that kiss that makes me melt in your arms...
Want to go back to Alaska. Learning to fish and love to hunt; because successful or not, being outside is what counts. (Was a veggie for 10 years. Wild game is low fat, healthful and I honor the spirit of the animal. I support groups that buy land to preserve habitat to benefit all species. It's a lifestyle.) Water is life and is to be immersed in and cherished. Dancing (especially in the moonlight) and skiing are freedom. A rural guy by choice, but not lost in the city. Avoid stuffy and formal affairs. Own one tie, but seem to lose it often.
I am a child of the 60's and now a 'reformed liberal.' I say 'Conservative' as Libertarian is not offered. Active in politics and land use. As a trained scientist, I question most things unless the data is real clear. Otherwise I research and test the question as best I can and decide from the mind without ignoring the heart.
Love "Classic Rock and Roll" (especially live), but will give any style a trial. Saw the Grateful Dead more than most, but not as much as some and had some incredible adventures (including a plane crash on the way back home from Las Vegas!). Some say Bryan Adams' "18 'till I die" album describes me pretty well...
Prefer micro brew and imports to wine, but food and the right wine is a treat... It also goes better with a sunset followed by a crackling fire and candle light. Like to tour the El Dorado/Fairplay wineries out my back door?
Live SE of Placerville above Pleasant Valley on a ridge top at 3200 feet in the pines with a 180 view across the valley to the Coast Range. High above the fog, a sunny southern exposure on the deck makes morning coffee a treat. Sunsets, moonsets (see pic) and rises are a daily treat. Deer mow the lawn.
My kids (18 and 20) are wonderfully talented, smart, athletic, musical and challenging all at the same time. Indeed, they are the outstanding product of time spent with them on the slopes, in Alaska, on the sidelines, in the grandstands and hope to do it with their kids. Both in College: UC Davis Bio Eng, the other a physics major at Cal Poly. Both (now) ski faster than me and are accomplished Slalom and Giant Slalom racers (both in top 11 in CA State HS Championships!).
My ideal mate? She's ready for fun and able to laugh until her sides hurt. If she skis, I will worship the snow she skis on and wax and tune her skis if she promises not to complain if cold or the day too long... (If not a skier - NOT a deal breaker-, but if interested, I'll teach her or bring her up several notches so we can share the passion!). She should like to be outside, be comfortable in and around the water, and let me do the dishes when she cooks.
Sing and play to me. Tell me what works for you.
Sound interesting? Contact me and let's find out if we're the magic!
Meet single man from Placerville, United States. As a retired firefighter, I find myself available for almost anything. My daughters are well established and I interact with my grand children whenever possible. The love is quite evident both ways. I've been surprised by the audacity and moral bankruptcy of my ex. I lived in the home I built entirely by myself 22 years ago, and it still suits my every need. It's at the 3200' level, so the snow lasts about a week, if we get any. I love all forms of camping, including motorcycling. Have faith! My ex left at 39 (change of life) (#1). I was 20 and we lasted almost 27 years! God is absolutely in control, just not always readily or immediately visible. I know in my heart, He wants what's best for me and you. I had a spinal fusion 12 years ago, and returned to full duty until retirement. My daughters live in New York and Folsom, I loved being dad, but now it's time for us (the adults).
