Date a woman from United States. OK, here goes...I am earthy, I love the ocean, sailing, organic gardening, movies and TV, playing golf, wine tasting, reading, writing, music, dining out, enjoy traveling around the US and Caribbean. I do enjoy watching some sports on TV...but 24 hours a day! I love spending as much time as I can with my kids and grandkids. One dream I have is to design and build a home...near my kids...with an ocean view!
Sorry guys, two things I definitely have NO interest in: Motorcycles and guns.
Camping & fishing is of interest once in awhile, as long as it's in an RV...no more tents on the ground. I prefer small towns; visiting the "city" like San Francisco once in a while is OK, but my cup of tea is more toward small coastal, country and mountain communities.
Both my kids plan to move back to CA within 4-5 years, in the area N of Santa Barbara...so that is the direction I hope to move to...though not right in SB (too crowded)...and no further south anywhere near LA. I was born and raised in LA and have no interest in moving anywhere below SB. I lived in S. Lake Tahoe on and off for 20 years and now live in the Sierra foothills. The value of my home has gone below what I owe, so I am open to moving sooner than later between Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz.
I am adventurous, but only when I have someone to share the experience. I am short and stocky; I tend to be overweight when I am alone. I love walking, hiking, bicycling, etc., but not alone. Haven't done much cycling lately, but hope to start up again soon. (I usually do every year right after Tours de CA and France!) Slender and toned I am not right now, so if that's what you want immediately, then don't waste your time or mine. Took care of my mother the last couple of years of her life, which gave me no time for a personal life...and now looking to find someone with whom I can have fun...and grow "older" together.
I try to not be too judgmental, and prefer NOT being around people who are “always” judgmental of every little thing everyone else does that doesn’t match their own beliefs…and people who think they know it all…they don’t! Neither do I. I enjoy learning new things, and do have my preferences and dislikes, but I believe in free speech and free choice for everyone. Kinda believe that is what our country was founded on. I am politically independent, but tend to lean slightly left...so any hard-right Republicans need not apply. I am conservative about some issues and liberal about others.
I do have a part-time job, which I am open to resigning, when I find the right guy to retire with. I enjoy reading and writing and am working on a couple of books. I like to foster animals when possible. I volunteer in various ways as time permits.
