Date someone special from California, United States. Independent computer consultant (sort of an athletic geek/nerd!) - strong, fit, healthy, intelligent, confident, talented, and humble.
(Are we still talking about me?) Okay - I'm kind, patient, compassionate, communicative, energetic calm, complex simple, and t-shirt casual.
(Not quite enough?) Um, I suppose I have a quick, clever, subtle and sarcastic sense of humor.
(More?) How about my excellent interpersonal and social skills (but I'm not the party type - don't enjoy large groups of mingling and meaningless small talk).
(This is just silly!) I enjoy playing tennis and other sports, intelligent conversation, sharing ideas, and other fun, friendly (and yes - silly!) activities together.
(Oh, alright - but it's your turn next.) I like to work hard, play harder, and relax softly and gently ;-)
(Can we talk about you now?) Please be a genuinely nice, bright, cute, sincere, reasonably fit, monogamous SWF with emotional maturity, silliness, and a good sense of humor - if you think we're a good match, drop me a note - thanks. (Phew!)
Meet single man from California, United States. Sorry about no pictures - leery about web privacy. I send pictures via email when somebody contacts me. I've abbreviated this considerably since most women don't bother reading a profile without pictures. I'm "not ugly and 300 lbs" as one woman asked...
If you're curious to know more, email me. I respond to all emails. It's the decent thing to do if somebody's taken the courtesy of writing to you, and opening up about themselves.
Scientist turned world-traveled investment banker, turned Dad and non-profit worker. Active, love trying new stuff. Grew up playing tennis and squash regularly. Coach my son's soccer team. Yes, I'm fit but not a gym rat - more like active fit.

Big fan of the blues and blues-influenced rock.
Fav movies - eclectic, appreciate diff facets of each. Fan of indies, Almodovar, Tarantino.... some others are Closer, My Cousin Vinnie, Marathon Man, Blue/White/Red, Farewell my Concubine, Sex and Lucia, Like Water for Chocolate, The Piano, Godfather, Goodfellas, Deer Hunter, Big Chill.
Looking for a caring, passionate, emotionally generous, feminine-yet-strong *partner* to share, truly share, life with. Intelligence is a necessary condition, and a huge turn on for me. A beautiful, open, sensual mind is the sexiest thing. A mind that is broadly unafraid yet endearingly vulnerable- now that's a turn on.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. a decided woman, tenderness, kindness.
Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; ("a" rhyme)
And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind. ("a" rhyme)
Nor hath Love's mind of any judgment taste; ("b" rhyme)
Wings, and no eyes, figure unheedy haste: ("b" rhyme)
And therefore is Love said to be a child, ("c" rhyme)
Because in choice he is so oft beguiled
Meet people from California, United States. Basically I love life. I have a passion for traveling and exploring. I am always ready for an adventure. I enjoy the outdoors, going to cultural events, socializing with people, cooking, snowboarding, camping, sportbike riding, swimming and basically doing anything in the ocean.
I appreciate good food. Although I like dining out, I am the kind of guy who will surprise you on a random Friday night with a romantic home cooked dinner...
I enjoy being active, healthy and staying fit. I am organized, handy and love fixing things. Family and friends are important to me and maintaining those close relationships is a priority in my life. I laugh often (I am a great believer that a good sense of humor is the essence of life).
About You: You are curious about the world around you, outgoing and social, you believe that sarcasm is a spice of life and are generally happy.
Date men and women from California, United States. I've been working as a voice actor for the last 10 years, and it is truly my dream job. While it doesn't define who I am, it is a big part of me because I love what i do so much.
I love to travel, and I'm WAY overdue for another adventure. I recently discovered an awesome hobby: I make short films, then travel to film festivals to support them. It's a great way to explore new places, meet new people and get shown around by locals. The last one took me to New York, Italy and The Bahamas. Just finishing up my next film, and I'm going to France, Spain and Japan. I would really love to meet someone to come with!
I keep in shape through free weights and mountain biking. I'm educated, been all around the world, and collected a ton of stories to share. I love camping, hiking, drinking, clubbing, watching movies, singing, swimming, road trips, acting, writing, traveling, eclectic friends, eclectic music, watching all the local teams, (but real life activities always come first) snowboarding, weird people, bizarre humor, Scott Baio as "Charles" from "Charles in Charge", Cookie Jarvis, The San Francisco Bay Area, non-fiction reading, NPR & PBS, Kool but not the Gang, the island of Maui, blue toilet water, Will Ferrell, folks with good hearts. The dislikes? Just a few: Intolerant people, non-recyclers, MTV & all it's subsidiaries, belly button piercings, Puff Daddy or P. Diddy or whatever the hell he is now, people who call San Francisco "frisco", The Dodd family of Reno Nevada, lengthy impeachment hearings, the Nabisco logo, being homesick, Bill Gates, The NBA, people who begin or end sentences with the letters "R" "S" or "P", English accents, violence, small children who ski or speak French, Mr. Beans inane shenanigans, Jerry Springer, sports teams with inappropriate Native American mascots, hot dogs, P.P. Jones, coach class, "The Olsen Twins", those who don't understand that a turn signal is an instrument for indicating what you are GOING to do in the near future rather than what you are presently doing, spandex, the little devil child on the Welch's juice commercials, people with too many dislikes.I believe being a nice person comes first, everything else second. I’m a sucker for a pretty face, but its nothing without a great personality. I turned to match originally because I was SO sick of meeting cute women who then turned out to be boring or dim. Despite their approval of, “the way I conversate” (that aint a word folks) ..I gotta have someone to talk to. I'm looking for someone beautiful inside and out, a good person who tries to do the right thing, someone who is open minded, physically active, aware, strong, independent but not afraid to depend on someone occasionally, up for anything, talented, sweet, funny, tough, smart but can laugh at juvenile things here and there, confident, speaks her mind, great dresser, great style, and overall just a wonderful person. Does this sound at all interesting?
Ok, so I've been on a few dates now from match, and all I ask is that you look somewhat like your pictures and they're up to date. Disappointment is not a good way to start things off.
I'm totally flattered by all the emails and winks, but I am totally overwhelmed! As much as I want to thank certain people for their lovely emails, I'm going to have to bureaucratically say that if I don't answer, I'm not interested. Thank you again! :) ...and I should add: before you go thinking this makes me sound full of myself... the vast majority of these come from over 1000 miles away. I'm not here for a long distance relationship! :)
Meet a man from California, United States. I have been on match.com for ~8-10 years. Looking over all of my responses, while some of them needed updating, overall this is how I want to present myself to the world, if match.com is truly the world. I am a stubborn person who will not change in spite of the fact the Match was not been fruitful. With that introduction, I'm going to use, almost verbatim, the same profile I've used these past years. Hope you enjoy!
You can tell by the endless checklists that I've spent hours completing, I am looking for the perfect woman. Unfortunately, it seems that I don't know what, exactly, that entails. Hence, the many no answers and contradictory body types. Yeah, I want the shorties, the tall ones, the above average, curvy, athletic and toned women. Not sure how that happens, but it sounds like a great combo.
All I do know is that I'm far from the perfect man. I try to be, uh, palatable and, really, that's all I can do. People have alternatively described me as open, a jerk, wishy-washy, anti-social, and/or desperate, but I'd rather let you choose the moniker after a date or two. If I had the opportunity to show you my own epitaph, it would read "here lies a man who was shy (during large social gatherings and around men), sensitive in his own mind (cried a lot for a man - once a year), sarcastic (but wickedly, awkwardly, funny and, on occasion, relentlessly unfunny), and misunderstood (by all, including his mother).
If you are interested in such a man, or at least the image of the man that I've presented, it doesn't matter which adjectives you choose for me: open, jerk, wishy-washy, anti-social, shy, well, please don't use desparate (that's unfair), and just be interested in a little one-on-one or very small group conversation. . Just be active, smart, attractive, and funny. That's all, and perhaps we can enjoy a beautiful relationship together.
Date someone special from Berkeley, United States. My family and friends occupy a lot of my free time. My favorite things to do include: road biking, exercising, going to the beach, hiking, wine tasting, cooking, movies, and maintaining a positive outlook!I'm looking for someone who is caring, honest, drama-free, professional, fun and fit.Someone who loves an adventure or content with staying home. Someone who is willing to grow and evolve with the changing challenges of life and relationships.
Meet single man from Berkeley, United States. A few pictures are better than a thousand overused, unrevealing adjectives. So before you read a word, I'd say just check out the pics.
Still with me? Great! Of course there are some things about me that the pics won't tell you:
I moved to the Bay Area 3 years ago, for two reasons: first, after having been out of the country for 2.5 years, I wanted to be closer to my family and friends (I have 4 siblings and a pile of the cutest nephews and nieces you'll ever meet!). Second, I really wanted to put my energy and work-effort to use where my passions lie, to do something meaningful and rewarding.
I bought a subscriber series to the SF Opera each of the past 2 years. I fell in love the elegance and passion, but I was most surprised by the timeless themes, and the humor. And it balances out the fact that I love college sports.
I love markets, everything from the familiarity of Berkeley Bowl (always so bountiful!) to the quirkiness of the Farmer's Market. But my favorite is experiencing the vibrant aromas, colors, sounds and energy of a bustling market somewhere in the developing world: the mystery of the strange, unknown items; bargaining (always with a smile!) over the price of the full, ripe mangoes that will be tomorrow's breakfast; grabbing a simple, delicious meal made fresh in the 'local' style.
I have flaws. Maybe not as many as most other guys, but still enough to make me interesting/human.
I really appreciate cold, rainy, winter weekends. Perfect for building a nice big fire in the fireplace and staying lazy & cozy.
Bookstores give me gridlock: "oh I want to read that and that and that..."
I spent the Friday of the MLK holiday weekend at the Yoga Journal conference. Then camping in Big Basin to celebrate a friend's birthday, slipping out of our campsite before breakfast on Sunday a.m. to go for a run through the redwoods. I've been doing a lot of climbing at the gym in recent weeks, even though I'm not very good at it and heights kind of scare me.
I'm looking to meet people who can relate. Are you inquisitive about the world around you, and do you approach it with a sense of open-mindedness, adventure and joy? Can you laugh at yourself, and do you get (and have) a sarcastic, witty sense of humor? Are you secure enough in who you are to be honest, compassionate & understanding?
Date a soulmate from Berkeley, United States. I enjoy my own company as much as I enjoy the company of others. I am a great conversationalist and thrive in the connections I have with family and friends. I also equally enjoy my own company, I find quiet, solitary time to be pleasurable.
Meet a woman from Berkeley, United States. IРІР‚в„ўll do my best to describe myself leaving some room for discovery and just the right amount to entice you (hopefully). I can be direct at times, but itРІР‚в„ўs always coupled with sweetness and a healthy dose of humor. I also have the uncanny ability to make the best out of any situation which means I know how to have a good time. IРІР‚в„ўm extremely down-to-earth, friendly, curious and enjoy deep conversations over small chat. I consider myself more of an extrovert and thrive best around people but definitely need down time to slow down. People always tell me their darkest secrets. Love music, good food and trying out new restaurants and have a sense of adventure whether itРІР‚в„ўs exploring new places, travel or trying something new. Passionate person. I enjoy exercise and staying in shape, but IРІР‚в„ўm not the hard-core athletic type. I support anyone who is though :) I do yoga and hiking, plan to get a bike soon (itРІР‚в„ўs been a while, since the last two were stolen) and hope to learn how to surf one of these days and perhaps play the guitar. The two are on my bucket list. Love music and seeing bands live in mostly small venues. Love the ocean. DonРІР‚в„ўt spend a lot of time watching TV, though the one show I have to watch is Mad Men. I sometimes watch Daily Show, Weeds, SNL, sometimes sports.
I grew up in the Bay Area, but have lived other places and traveled quite a bit (for work and socially). I attended college in Southern California. I've been at the same job for 6.5 yrs.
My match? Open to adventure, curious about life and exploring. A man that can make light of a situation, figure out a solution instead of letting something defeat him. Good sense of humor. Comfortable enough is own shoes to allow me to be my complete self.
Date someone special from United States. I'm always impressed by an easy smile and a keen mind. I'm especially impressed by a kind, thoughtful person willing to live life to the fullest - whatever that means to them. I'm allergic to folk who keep themselves confined in boxes and aren't solution oriented (no whiners please :)
How do I define kindness? You know the type, the person that holds the door for the person behind them or helps to pick up a stranger's fallen goods? Pretty simple really...incase you don't read the rest of my profile please note I do have a (big) dog and if you're scared, allergic to or irritated by dogs, I am not the new friend for you!
If that sounds like you then wake up early, grab breakfast, hike a mountain, run a trail- explore a different culture, take a cooking class, go to a champagne tasting- travel a new road! I'm new to the Bay Area so I'm ready to explore.
If I don't respond to you please don't take it personally - and best of luck on your search!
Meet a soulmate from United States. I just moved back to the bay area last year after being in LA for 7. I went to college and lived in NYC for 8. I am happy to be back in the place I love most, enjoying gardening, the wide selection of good produce and quality cotton prints, the outdoors, and watching my home sports teams on tv.
I'd like to meet someone I think is great.
