I'm a pretty easy going guy who enjoys good conversations and travel. I grew up in California's Central Valley and lived, studied, worked, and played there most of my life. After spending the last two-and-a-half years working inside the Washington DC beltway, I now find myself in sunny California again. I've had the good fortune of traveling to Europe several times and to Mexico A LOT!!!!
I have a Master's degree in electrical engineering, but don't let that scare you. I'm not a NERD!!! So I've been told by my friends and family. :-) I can put on a suit and tie to present complex ideas to executive management and jeans, t-shirt, and a hat to just relax and have fun. I enjoy listening to music and even had my own disc jockey business while I was in college.
Many of my friends describe me as being smart, kind, caring, generous, a great listener & communicator, entrepreneurial, athletic, and handsome...hmm?? What do you think?
As far as what I am looking for in a match, it all begins with a great heart and a beautiful smile. I enjoy joking around and laughing a lot, so a good sense of humor that we can both share would be great! Writing this and trying to figure out what to say and what not to say is the most challenging thing. So I think I'll just say this, I was out to dinner with my daughter Saturday (jun30) with my youngest daughter who's 10 and she said you know daddy you really are a great dad and i love spending time with you. I said thank you and I love spending time with you to. You know it's moments like that when you know even though you're single you're not alone. You still have your family and friends. I do have some great and some bad friends and family but no matter what I would do anything for anyone of them. Sitting there looking around the restaurant while my daughter was playing her game on the menu made me think how I would like to have that one special person in my life. That one who will accept you for who you are, the one who knows we all have a past and no I'm not saying I had a bad past, how could I when I'm sitting there across the table from the prettiest woman in the room, my daughter. Things just didn't workout between me and their mom just like so many others, but at least now after the time has passed we have a great parenting friendship.
So here I am on a dating website hoping to meet someone especially here in a town where I really don't know anyone because I've only been here a few months. I'm also not a barfly so you won't really catch me in a club but I do like to have an occasional drink and if I get brave enough go on the dance floor although I do have two left feet. Musical tastes range from classic rock to latin jazz/afro-cuban to alternative to classical...just about any kind of music. By trade I'm a classically trained saxophonist who freelances on the side (mostly jazz gigs).
