A few quirks about me: I'm a native Californian, yet I don't spend all my free time at the beach. I've never owned flip flops and just don't like them. I wear some sort of boots 90% of the time, yet not cowboy boots. I'm not religious in any way, yet you would think I was by how I treat people and live a clean and honorable life. I love peace and happiness, yet have a very violent and ugly job. I live in the mountains where it's extremely quiet, yet I love very loud music. I worry about everyone's safety, yet I take risks all the time. I don't care for going to clubs and being in the "scene", yet I'm very good at playing the music for it. I could go on but this is getting pretty long already. lol
To clarify: I was engaged for 5 yrs (her choice) and married for 10. We made a life choice and still remain friends today and happily live 4 counties apart (No "ex wife" issues at all). I grew from that relationship and I am emotionally stable and available. Being with the same lady for 15 yrs means I'm finally potty trained! lol I can commit fully to that special person (I've seen me do it) but don't feel that marriage adds anything to the relationship that wouldn't exist otherwise. As a 10 yr marriage Vet, I'm pretty sure I would have noticed at some point. I'm not looking to have kids of my own; it's just not for me yet I'm told I'd make a great Dad. (Drives my Mom nuts; sorry Mom) I'd like to find that special someone who I can share my successes with, enhance each other's lives, and maybe ride off into the sunset together...on dirtbikes! lol My schedule for work, home maintenance, and play do not afford me the time, energy, or attention span to deal with immaturity or drama and I've walked away more than once. I get all the drama I can handle at work, thank you. I've lived enough to realize that life is not about building a resume about the things you have or the places you've been, but about the people that are in it and the relationships with those people.
