Date men and women from California, United States. When I was a kid, my father took me to the airport to watch the planes take-off and land.
I said "When I grow up, I want to be a pilot."
He said "You can't do both, son."
I am an officer in the Marines (don't tell my mother - she thinks I play piano at the Bunny Ranch). I am my own worst critic, and I am serious about what I do, but I don't take myself seriously.
I am from a small town in middle-eastern Tennessee (where the men are men and the sheep are nervous). I was raised to be a gentleman and to live by the golden rule, which is harder than it sounds, 'cause too many people mistake kindness for weakness. I was also taught that you should try to understand before trying to be understood, or as my grandfather put it, "you were born with two ears and one mouth for a reason".
I have several hobbies. The dilemma I have is that they are all time-intensive, so I am not really great at any of them (I need to drop all but a couple, so I can get more satisfaction from the ones I keep, but which ones?!). I like to play golf, ride motorcycles (both cruising the mountains or beach and taking a sport-bike to the track), restore old cars, or do home improvements. Surfing and snowboarding also look like a riot, but I have to figure out how to make the days longer, first. I also quell insurgencies, organize coups, tame tigers, rescue damsels-in-distress, and preach and lead the choir at revivals....
When I finish working for Uncle Sam, I am not sure exactly what I want to do with myself (the whole growing up thing....since I chose being a pilot). So far, I have moved where I had to move in order to do what I wanted to do; so I think my next gig will be to find a place where I want to be (with a great vibe & a special woman) and do what I have to in order to stay there. Time will tell...
I like all types of music - depending on my mood: Classic rock, Top 40, country (the times where I want to listen to polkas and gangsta rap rarely happen, but never say never!)....anything with a good beat that I can shake my hieny to (it's a train wreck, but I have a good time).
Who I am looking for:
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I am a down to earth woman who is looking for some fun and adventure! I love movies, basketball, football and baseball. (We can discuss which teams rule later! LOL) I enjoy cooking. I like to try things I may have never done before.
