Meet people from United States. One word my friends would use to describe me would be loyal. I'm loyal, sometimes to a fault. I was born and raised here in Pacifica and I love it. I work to provide for me and my daughter, I am not career oriented, but I'm good at what I do, I give my boss 100% when I'm there, but I try not to think about work when I'm not there. In this economy, I'm just glad to have a job.
Let me be honest here, reading other peoples profiles, have kind of intimidated me a bit. I haven't had world adventures, I've had real life though. In my 20's I was taking care of my husband, in my 30's my daughter, and now that I'm in my 40's I ask myself what about me? That about sums it up, I've been putting other people before me. I put others peoples needs before my own, that's not a bad thing, and I certainly am not complaining, it's been my choice.
Yes, I have a daughter, she's 11, and the light of my eyes. I have her full time, my ex-husband lives 3 1/2 hours away and there is no drama there. We are actually friends, probably because he lives 3 1/2 hours away though. My daughter and I are surrounded by love and I'm very blessed. I have a very supportive family and would not be where I am without them.
I love technology, I think it's a great thing, I finally kicked down and got a smart phone (love it), but I think there's a lot to be said for a phone call, rather than a text message.
I'm a bit old fashioned in the sense that if a guy is interested, he should call me. I'm not going to chase him down. Buy me a drink, and I'll most likely buy the next one.
I love music, from big haired bands from the '80's to Maroon Five. I'm a big country music fan, but you don't have to be. I like to consider myself a 49er, Sharks, Giants and Jimmie Johnson fan, but unfortunately am not an "educated" fan and don't spend my weekends watching them. Perhaps you can educate me. I love going to concerts and checking out new bands.
I don't go "clubbing", doesn't really appeal to me. A dive bar, with a good band, hey I'm in.
I'd like to think that I'm open to try new things, at least once, how do I know I don't like it if I don't try it?
I love animals, I grew up with both dogs and cats, though we only have cats now (2 cats). I don't think it would be fair to have a dog, because we're not home enough, and a dog deserves and wants its people around. Cats are more independent, if we're home, they're happy to have our laps, but as long as they have food, they're happy and they keep each other company. I volunteered at the SF Zoo for many many years and am quite attached to it.
I'm an open book, if you want to know more, ask.
Date a soulmate from United States. I am not sure of what brought me here today other than the fact I am curious. My friends tell me its time to get back out there and start looking. I have been divorced for a while but my kids keep me pretty busy. The rest of my time has been spent at work where I am a preschool teacher and also work with school age kids.
I am looking for someone with a big heart and can make me laugh. A sense of humor is a must! You also must love kids! My children are with me full time and are the MOST important thing in my life...
Meet someone special from United States. I'm from the Midwest and have been here about 2 years. I just moved near the ocean in Pacifica and love it. I try to catch the sunset every night. Capitalizing on the nice days is important and I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking in the bay, and just tried surfing for the first time and I might be addicted.
6 Tidbits about me:
1. I went to Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 2008 as a Pens fan--by myself--in Detroit.
2. I'm a book geek; drop me off at the library or a bookstore and you could lose me.
3. I'd rather bike, hike, or swim before running, and only then I'll walk/jog, or what I like to call "wogging."
4. I own approximately 10 shoeboxes worth of ballcards (all sports) that I started collecting in 1990...thinking one day some of them might be worth something and would go to my "future" kids. The dog...she just likes to chew on them. Bad dog.
5. Beginner photog in training...Just got a Nikon DSLR for Christmas and trying it out. I like taking still shots, nature, macros, and random stuff no one else would think of, or so I'd like to think.
6. IN black belt state champion in Tae kwon do, but I wasn't a black belt, go figure...
You are intelligent, maybe a little bit of a geek, with witty charm that can keep me on my toes and make me laugh. I want a man who has a high level of integrity, faith, is compassionate, genuine, and lives life with a positive attitude-glass half full, not half empty. And, you must like dogs. Woof...
Date men and women from United States. I am a very solid person. I have been described as loyal, good natured & good hearted who likes to have fun. I 've been told that I have an insatiable sense of humor. I am very grounded. I know the difference between right and wrong and try to live my life with that mantra. There is nothing materialistic or pretentious about me. Friends would describe me as brutally honest.
I work for a fantastic company that has given me many perks. However a career is just a caeer and although I work hard I love my time off and play equally as hard.
Originally from Ireland, I have lived in the Bay Area for the past 20 years. Family is very important to me and I try and return home at least once a year. I am a mother to an amazing teenage daughter who is kind, funny, athletic and bright!
I love anything that has to do with the ocean. You often can find me down the coast on the weekends walking the dog on the beach. I like the outdoors, hiking the trails around coast and camping. I love the way I feel when I work out - this is my drug of choice. Biking, Hiking, I love hitting the bag at the gym. I am always up for trying a new sport, or hobby! I try to live a healthy life but I do believe most everything is okay in moderation so teach me something new.
As much as I enjoy the outdoors - I enjoy a night out on the town with friends or maybe with you. I am just as happy cooking dinner at home and enjoying a night on the couch with a good movie.
What am I lookin for in a relationship? I'm looking for a man who is emotionally, financially and physically stable. I would like someone that has passion for something in life, whether it be a career or a hobby. Family should be important to you whether your exisitng family or your future family. I hope you have experienced some adventures in life and enjoy travelling . Life is too short to be taken seriously, so let's see if we're a good fit?
Meet a woman from Pacifica, United States. The one thing I am most passionate about:
Me, of course. I am the center of the universe and I spend an inordinate amount of time chasing down family, friends and co-workers convincing them of that. Truly, I like to see to the comfort of my family and friends. I'm considered a good listener (guessing by the number of people who gather in my office and non-work related phone calls) and don't judge.
The most important thing I am looking for in a person is:
Someone who appreciates my cooking no matter how it comes out, has the courage to tell me my dress does make me look fat but is articulate enough not to hurt my feelings, is gleefully my partner in crime and is not above orchestrating the occasional big romantic gesture.
