I may've been the first high-schooler in American History to skip school in favor of going to the Public Library to read.
This habit had the dual benefit of ruining my grades and retarding my social life.
Turns out the library is the absolute last place Truant Officers look. So my illeagle reading ran free until I was a fully formed nerd.
Big Nerd. I had a fovorite anthropologist (Marvin Harris) at a time and place where having a fovorite anthropologist could get you beaten up once a day.
Took my bad habits with me to college, (CCA in Oakland) where I did my reading at Cybelle's and/or Zac's Pizza on College Avenue.
Fell in love with history and humanism (George Orwell, Stephen Jay Gould, et al).
Being in art school, I also studied art and art history. But I wound up working in a Technical/Engineering field
(don't ask me how I'm qualified for it).
I cannot explain myself.
I admire Reason and Humanism and Monty Python and I Hate the Designated Hitter.
I'm a lifelong atheist AND I was involved with a church for several years and made some great friends there.

Well, I have an almost perfect life so far.. a nice place to call home, a good car and a fun and exciting career and I’m truly fortunate to have some really amazing people in my life but what is truly missing is someone to share this life with. You know? Someone to have great new experiences with, explore and take drives to nowhere in particular, learn with, laugh with and someone to enjoy every minute of it all with.. The first person you think of every morning and that last conversation every night.
I guess that you can tell that I am a romantic sort.. At this present time I am OK with who I am. Are you OK with you? well if not you should be. I am a pretty average female. I am a very focused and committed person in all aspects of my life. I have worked hard to get where I am and have a huge appreciation for all that life has to offer.
