I spent some time in Boston a while back and absolutely loved it. I had the chance to drive all over New England. Would really like to go back again. Although I had the chance to visit Germany and Austria when I was young, a trip to other areas in Europe is definitely on my list. Of course, I want it to be in a non-tourist way. Small towns and local experiences sound perfect.
I like fishing but have never hunted. I do like the outdoors and have been in the middle of nowhere so I'm not afraid of nature's challenge. Nothing like a nice hotel, though. :)
A few year back I started getting interested in cooking. I think it started when I went to different restaurants back in Boston, ordered nice meals and thought, "Hey, I could make this myself -- and do it any way I like." Ever since, I've enjoyed the challenge of finding a recipe or menu idea and experimenting. Tried baking. Kudos to the bakers. Rolling dough and making it look perfect doesn't seem to be my thing. Maybe it's yours. I'll just stick to the non-dessert menu items. WARNING: French is often my favorite challenge. Butter and cream aren't bad, are they?
