I have now lived in Sacramento for eight months (originally from San Diego with the last 10 years spent in Salt Lake) and am just starting to explore the surrounding areas. I'm pretty and feminine, but I'm also an outdoorsy person. I'm easy going, positive, look for the best in things, try to always live in the moment and I enjoy laughing (and do so easily). I find that the simple things are what makes life really good. I'm very comfortable driving a dunebuggy through the dunes, watching supercross, hiking a new trail or a myriad of other things. In the end, it's all good depending upon who you're with. I'm a bit eclectic and I do have an itty, bitty diamond piercing in my nose as well as a streak of color in my hair (at the moment, it's pink), so if you're a bit more traditional, I might not be the one.
Chemistry is a must. I can be intense at times, but to me, it's just being passionate about the things that are important to me. I live my life with honesty and integrity and am completely committed to the one I'm with. I would expect the same from my partner. I was a massage therapist for quite a few years, so I'm a touchy-feely type of person and would want the person I'm with to also enjoy the physicality of a relationship.
As for who I'm looking for, it would be someone that is handsome in my eyes, intelligent, enjoys being active (whether working around the house, hiking or whatever), has a sense of humor, and has passion about the things that they are into. A photo is essential and as for all of those standard phrases ("I like the outdoors," "I enjoy hiking," "I enjoy bike riding," blah, blah, blah...) if you are going to say that you like them, please actually do them or it won't work for me.

Meet a soulmate from United States. For the men who love wine tasting, jazz, nights at the opera, and walks on moonlit beaches, I'm probably not a match. I don't drink--no, I'm not a friend of Bill W,, I just never got in the habit. I'd be the designated driver at your wine tasting, though, if I got to stop at any used-book stores along the way. I enjoy sitting on the sand and watching the waves, but my favorite beach is Baker Beach and it's cold, so I wear a jacket. I've enjoyed an opera or two and even a ballet once (and LOVE Gilbert and Sullivan), but have never owned an evening gown. In high school, I played in a jazz band--the worst jazz saxophonist ever. And I can't dance--not only do I have two left feet, they're attached to two left ankles. Walking is about the extent of my athleticism (and I do love it) but, if I try to talk at the same time, I'm sure to trip over something. Unless you're there, holding my hand.
Now, if that hasn't scared you off, dear reader, here is a reality-based picture of what and who I am:
I enjoy going out and about, exploring new places and learning new things, and at the end of the day, I love domesticity and coming back home. I like museums, theatre, live music, and street fairs; and anything that involves people-watching. At home, I love to read, crochet, watch movies, and cook. I'm from the East Bay originally and love all of the Bay Area.
I'm a science-based atheist who appreciates the truth at the core of all religions, and who loves the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas and keeps an eye out all year for that just-right gift for those on my list.
What or who am I looking for? Someone with a lively, active mind, a sense of curiosity and caring about the world and the people in it. Someone who pays attention to what's going on, who works to understand the more subtle aspects of current events or politics. Someone who's been out of school for a time but who's never stopped learning. Someone who enjoys the company of people but who is equally comfortable having quiet times at home.
I'm a reality-based person and understand that in living full lives, we all pick up our baggage along the way. Mine is dealt with and mostly stowed away; I hope yours, is, too, but of course I understand that occasionally the latches on our luggage come undone and things can fall out. When or if that happens, I'll help you get yours packed away again and would hope for the same from you.
