I am a bit of a klutz when it comes to athletics. Rode a zip line a couple of years ago and wasn't able to stop quickly enough and nearly knocked the attendant off the platform!

Meet a woman from California, United States. For the past 16 years, I have been an elected offical in the educational field. This November I plan to run one more time to see my project of 46 million completely finished, up and running.
I am active in Rotary for the past 10 years with perfect attendance. During that time I was fortunate enough to be selected to go to South Korea for 5 weeks to represent Rotary clubs in Ca. and Nv.
Actually, I am a quiet person. I enjoy being with friends, having them over for dinner or drinks. I only have two sisters, one in Hawaii and the other in Texas. I always thought I would have several grandchildren to spoil but it didn't work out that way. So spoiling someone else's appeals to me. Dinners on the deck, music in the background, and a glass of wine sound very nice. Yet I do love to dress up and go out on the town. We are blessed with so many excellent restaurants in our area. Having grown up in Florida, I must admit I always favor being around water.
Have visited several countries in Europe and I intend to go back. I find it interesting to visit smaller towns and just wander around. I am not the type to go on a tour where every few days you pack and go to another town or country. For that reason, I enjoy cruises. You can be as active as you choose or completely rest and read a book.
I had a very interesting marriage with my husband who had spent 27 years in the Navy as a pilot. Our marriage lasted 38 years.
I have one son, Jeff, who is married and lives in Molokai. He and his wife are school teachers there.
As for what I am looking for......I am attracted to intelligence and creativity. I want to learn from someone who is greedy for information and light and laughter and the whole world. Someone who celebrates their days and finds inspiration in what other people accomplish. A person who is conscientious about the trail he leaves behind. Manners and kindness are very important to me. Someone who is an optimist and open for unplanned opportunities and can embrace a little uncertainly.
