Date single man from Alaska, United States. I am not afraid to try new things, I tried out for a part in a musical when I was an undergrad. It was fun learning how to sing. I was also in the Army during the first gulf war. That was interesting but not nearly as dangerous as it is today. Thinking about having one of my mates killed was harder than anything else. It really taught me the value of close friendship. Then it was off to Alaska just to get out of Albuquerque. Thought it would only be for the summer but it turned out to last ten years. Came back to get my PhD. Would have liked to go to Stanford, or UCSB but it worked out better now than it probably would have it I had gone somewhere else. I like learning and try to challenge myself in learning things I thought I would never understand. Photography is my new old hobby. I got a digital and am relearning much of the stuff I hadn't used in years. My match should have some education, but be down to earth. I am looking for someone to hangout with, cook, movies, or just hold each other. Don't worry about being left out during sports season, I do like a good baseball game or a hockey game but would prefer to go to the game together. Sharing the experience is more important than what the score turns out to be. I am kinda a social butterfly, well really more like a social gorilla. I want to start a cover band that plays only punk remakes of rock and country songs. Even got a name "Thousand pound Gorilla" all because we would tear s%$t up and no one could stop us. Like a half ton gorilla would. I kinda have a dry sense of humor so if you can deal great. I like to tease, but not too much. It's really a cultural thing, just how I was raised. Not in a mean way more in a playful way. So you should be strong confident, like gorillas (btw I'm not really hairy, or a gorilla), maybe into flyfishing (but not a requirement), fun loving, caring, flexible (?), and a little crazy (but aren't we all a little?). If you made it this far we gotta at least meet so you can tell me how bad all the jokes were so far. Um..... Um..... Is this thing on? Anyway I can rant sometimes, but will listen if you tell me to shut up, and not get mad about it.

I travel often going to Anchorage, Seattle, and Scottsdale (Pheonix) most often. I love seeing new places and expierencing what those places have to offer. A women who knows that the Seahawks are a football team would be nice. I have Seattle Seahawks season tickets and try to make it to 4-6 games a year if work allows. I love going to my favorite reastaurant, The Metropoliton Grill, in Seattle and having a first class dinner when I go down for the games. The Lobster Bisque and Filet Mignon are top notch.
