The blackout we had last year spooked me a little so lately I am trying to learn how to use the BBQ a little more and the microwave a little less. I may have even found a cake recipe which can be cooked on the BBQ (blasphemy I know - but I have a small grill to do my cooking on so I promise not to mess with your grill mojo). My dad says I know how to pour a perfect beer. I'll take his word for it and stick to my diet soda. I frequently get requests from friends and family to make any of the following: salsa, spaghetti sauce, mac-n-cheese, spicy meatloaf, or Swedish Meatballs. I also know where to get the best pizza in San Diego county.
I tried to retire from a 35 year soccer career last December. I think I am done now but my friends and teammates say I'll be back, weРІР‚в„ўll see. I do miss seeing them every week.
We may be adopting a dog sometime in the next year. The kids and I have been reading up on various breeds trying to figure out what they want. Or maybe we'll be adopting some tree frogs. My eldest hasn't made up his mind yet. That is the kind of controlled chaos we roll in.
Most holidays or weekends find me either with my family or with my friends. For my aunt's 50th birthday a few years back we had a blast playing paintball. We try to get together a few times a year to play still. The group of friends I hang out with may technically be called a mob. We have our own gravitational pull and we migrate – the desert, the mountains, each others’ houses, lunch. We even made it to Disneyland - and survived. Our next big excursion is a camping trip to the mountains.
I prefer the beach and tropics over snow. Although, I did go skiing once at Mammoth - it was 70 degrees. People who ski or are from cold weather states tell me that it doesn't count as skiing, so I'll need to go again some day. For now - my next adventure in the planning stages is zip lining, hiking and riding ATVs in Hawaii. Not sure which island yet - just started planning. I do need to try surfing and or paddle boarding too. The list is getting longer.
During summer and on Fridays I dress down for work. The rest of the time it is business dress as usual. Just between you and me I prefer my jeans and tennies! And yes - you do see dimples. Two of them (thanks mom!). The jury is out on whether they are appreciated or not but for now I'll let them stay.

A male friend of mine recently told me that I am a great catch. I'm beautiful, I'm intelligent, I'm educated, I make good money, I am fun and open to new experiences, I'm kind, I have a great kid, and I have no major issues. I enjoy many activities - hiking, biking, cultural events, naked mud wrestling (kidding, just seeing if you were paying attention!), sporting events, camping, weekend trips, wine tasting, skiing, museums, and just about anything else. Once we get to know each other, I have no problem spending some evenings snuggling with you on the couch watching a movie and maybe cooking dinner together.
Do you like travel and adventure? I sure do. I love to plan vacations. I'm happy with two longer vacations per year and many long weekends. I've traveled a fair amount and have failed to tire of it. Now as for my body type - I listed athletic and toned, which I am, but I am also soft and curvy at the same time. I'm not skinny (not fat either!) and am not obsessed with fitness. I enjoy staying fit and want to look good for you, but I enjoy food and don't want to spend all my time at the gym. I like all sorts of men - tall and even short. Now if you are short, I prefer you to be muscular and not skinny. It would just be downright embarrassing if I weighed more than you! I'm looking for my teddy bear - I love to snuggle!

Children often "adopt" me and I am an honorary Auntie to most of my friends children, but I do not have any of my own! So, I am open to men with or without kids as long as there isn't drama with their mom. I took up karate a couple of years ago and have since transitioned to Krav Maga. It's a great workout and a lot of fun. I also like taking my dog for a walk/hike on the weekends. I enjoy the occasional night-on-the-town mixed with a cozy night in. I love the beach, amusement parks and a good laugh. I have a 10 yr old son who lives with me part of the time. When he is not with me, I definitely don't want to act like a "mom". I use that time to get out and enjoy happy hours, dinners and events with friends. I am pretty comfortable in most situations. I can definitely go from a formal, romantic dinner to flip flops and a walk on the beach.
