A little more: I'm a widow (38 years of marriage); all of my 6 children are grown and they and my 8 grandchildren live locally and some are scattered across the country. I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but have lived in San Diego since 1947, (almost all of my life), and was raised in the Mission Hills area of San Diego. I attended parochial schools in San Diego, my high school alma mater is now called Cathedral Catholic and is located in Carmel Valley (the school was located in downtown San Diego when I attended). I had a successful 45-year career in the legal field in San Diego and retired from the San Diego Superior Court.
I now reside in northeast San Marcos in a beautiful 55 plus apartment community. This is the first period of time in my life that I have lived alone and, frankly, I much prefer not being single. As you can see from the first paragraph, I am definitely looking for a serious long-term relationship.
I love to take day trips, visit museums, attend live theatre, go to movies, visit local wineries (Orfila is my favorite), see the sights of our beautiful San Diego, travel via cruising, am an avid reader, love to spend time with family, friends and entertain. I'm a great cook, love to decorate my home on a continuing basis, dine out or in, enjoy dancing, tour walking, card games, television miniseries (especially Masterpiece Theatre), bargain hunting, farmers markets, cooking classes and ...... well, you get the idea.
