I just moved to Long Beach after living in St. Paul and dealing with Minnesota winters for about 14 years. Finally, life on the beach. I'm a trader by profession working from home and I supplement that with some minor freelancing as a photographer.
Some of the moments in my life that define me include solo-camping in the high Sierras (and getting caught in a snowstorm), camping out for a week on the north coast of Kauai and sea-kayaking among giant sea turtles, getting my private pilot's license, managing a large corporate software project, getting pulled over in South Dakota doing 140mph (10 years ago and it was a $200 ticket but the cop was super friendly and polite so it was actually an almost entirely pleasant experience), successfully selling my business, growing tomatos from seed, and discovering that making sushi at home is cheap and easy.
I believe life is about taking calculated risks, and making them pay off. I also believe one's life is basically steered and bounded by your imagination, willingness, and determination to translate thought into reality. I am fiercely independent and averse to mainstream media.
I'd like to meet someone equally thoughtful, intelligent, and thrilled about life in general. Chemistry is key so I'd prefer to meet in person. I'm drawn to intelligence and empathy and I admire all kinds of athleticism and artistry.

I have been riding and working on scooters (vespa and Lambrettas) for many years now. I have a few and enjoy working on them and riding them. I have a small unit that I keep all of them and my tools that turns in to a hang for friends on the weekend when the suns out. After many years of working on others I finally restored one for myself a couple years ago. After many long weekends and nights it came out better than I would of thought. I am thinking about doing another one soon. One of my friends I share the unit with has been restoring a old mini cooper. It’s been fun watching and helping.
You can also say I am a computer geek. I build all my own computers and fix some of my friends. I just like to take things apart even if I don’t know how to put it back together.

I haven't been on here too long. Actually, no... I've had an account for over a year. Just haven't been on or subscribed in a while. Its Summer, chill out. Still, no matter the season, there's a truth to this site. I can't speak for everyone, but if you're an attractive girl, with any substance at all, then an average day for you on this site is probably quite the horror. Filtering through masses of borderline bumper-sticker worthy taglines from guys whose picture vs. quality ratio could be compared to a McDonald's Value Menu: Heavy cheese, perfect buns, Looks delicious, smells even better. But after only a few bites of his lackluster mispelled introduction, you're left feeling sick, drowsy, and running for the nearest bathroom.

In most cases, a db's playground. Well I may be alota things, but one thing I'm not, is a fast food Big Mac. I don't swim in shallow waters, and I don't chase the scene. But I can party like no one's business. I just hide the edgy side through clever writing. I have a Tosh like sense of humor. I like traveling, nights in, experimenting in the kitchen, making friends with complete strangers at a sushi bar, writing and singing off key at parties, showing people the better part of themselves, never minding what others think. Impressing me is humoring me, and that should come natural if you're someone for me.
I was brought up very traditional and old fashioned - Respect your parents, do well in school, earn your own keep, be good to your girl, and don't be a prick. I also love to write cook, and draw. Sometimes i surprise even myself and actually create something good. I'm easily pleased and pretty accepting of a lot, so i get along pretty well with everyone. As a kid I was obsessed with anything creative, and it's made me pretty well rounded with my other artistic talents.
