I tend to be straight forward, am genuine and honest and possess a sarcastic sense of humor behind the half smile that’s more in the know wit amongst friends than stand up slapstick. Others have used terms like a quiet confidence or unassuming demeanor, but basically I’m simply easy going and humbly multifaceted. Hard work has built and maintains a solid reputation in a stable career that I enjoy, but it doesn't define or consume me as much as provide for many passions. Running 5-6 miles or organized 10k’s, backpacking, golf, basketball, scuba diving, hiking, fishing, camping, cooking, travel, photography, drawing, woodworking/construction projects... to name a few.
I’m a devoted dad to my two daughters (about to be 10 and 13) and have an amazing relationship with each. They're with me 50% of the time and its my goal to introducing them to anything and everything... from fishing at 9 months old, to multi-day backpacking trips or day hikes, making our own vinaigrette's, proper use of power tools, crabbing, a myriad of sport, the art of BBQ or self defense (they can take care of business!)... gardening has been our most recent exploration. We built an 8'x3' sub-irrigation box for our bounty. In return they teach me the finer points of pre-teen fashion, how to flat iron hair or do the Hunger Games sideways braid thingy (yep, I can do it now!) or critique my shirt/tie ensembles.... but, at the end of the day, their greatest gift is the ability to recalibrate life's perspective.
A match for me would be someone who is also equal parts paradoxical. A woman who has personal comfort and beauty that resonates from a general happiness and confidence in the entirety of who they are, is not pretentious, easy going yet will express an opinion, slightly more outgoing than me, leads an athletically active healthy lifestyle and possesses a romantic, sensual soul. And, I'm a sucker for a women with expressive eyes.
