Santa Barbara has been home for almost my entire life but I love to travel and experience new cultures. Traveling is vital in order to expand our minds and horizons to all the amazing possibilities that exist on this planet and help shape our understanding of ourselves and what we really want out of life.
I’m recently divorced after a 15 year relationship so the idea of trolling bars on State Street to potentially find a new love interest doesn’t appeal to me. The concept of being able to specifically select potential matches based on certain criteria or qualities I know I want a potential mate to possess is alluring and seems like a better starting point than flipping a coin at Joe’s and hoping for the best. It is still called Joe’s right?!
In order to pay the bills, I’m a videographer and technology tutor but still photography is my biggest passion so I hope to make that a larger part of my work life going forward. I’m comfortable in my own skin and curious about people in general so my friends would probably say that I get along very easily with people from all walks of life.
To me, life is an ongoing series of valuable lessons (often times learned from the most challenging events that occur in our lives) that we can either choose to learn from and grow wiser as a result of or hold onto in spiteful ways closing ourselves off from future experiences.
I'm looking for a like minded woman, unafraid to open herself up to someone in spite of whatever previous negative experiences they may have had and to not allow distrust from a prior relationship to unfairly shape the view of what exists before them in the present. Respectful, caring and sensitive men do actually exist out there, you just have to look really, really hard sometimes :)
