Date a soulmate from California, United States. So, here it is...most of my friends are married, both female and male. This is because I was married and it just happens that wives don't like husbands to hang out with single guys or girls...for obvious reasons. I'm divorced as of 4/11 and it kinda sucks to be honest, although I'm not necessarily looking to be hitched right away. FYI...I married at 21 and was too young. I have split custody of my kids and the divorce was amicable...it wasn't because I cheated in case you think we all do, which unfortunately is the attitude towards all divorced men I am coming to find out. My guy friends tell me I can take my pick of girls to be with, so just live life and have fun. I've found this to be true, but not my style. All my married girlfriends (friends that are girls to avoid any confusion...not ex's and I respect marriage so would never get involved with a married woman) say, "you're a great catch...you're good looking, a great dad, athletic, well off, funny, intelligent, educated, so on and so on...essentially everything a woman is supposedly looking for.

Ok, here is the profile you were probabaly expecting to read...I have a grown up job during the week, so my weekends and evenings are my time to wind down and have fun. Who am I kidding? I set my own hours, so I can wind down and have fun any time of the day if I choose. I have 2 kids... a 17 year old son and 12 year old daughter whom I like to spend time with when I have them, which is 50% of the time.
The right person for me is someone who is outgoing, active, takes care of herself, and lives life to its fullest. I'm not desperate to find someone to marry right away, so taking it slow. Let's hang out, have fun, and see where it leads.
About me...I enjoy the lighter side of life, travelling, sporting events, and just staying active in general. I like playing golf, tennis and basketball and love the beach. I played some basketball in college and in the Army and still play 2-3 times/week when I can.

Like most people on here, I never really thought I’d resort to trying match to find that right someone, but like you, here I am. For starters, I’m really not like most guys in CA, primarily because I’m not from here. Good heart.
Integrity (I dislike flakes)
Have some street-smarts and be able to think for yourself.
Don't be a downer. I can have a dark sense of humor at times, but definitely optimistic, so no Negative-Nellies, thaaank-you.
Easy going; drama queens are banned.
Must have a sense of humor so I don't get killed later.
Should not have hissy fit or anxiety attack when told "Hey watch this, hold my beer...."
As for me, pretty easy going and like to enjoy my time, although sometimes work too much. Can be driven/blunt at times. Maybe a bit more circumspect about work type stuff compared to previous. It ain't bragging if you can do it! ;-)
